It didn’t matter that the ref called it a clean hit. Nico Hunter would never be the same.

Elle has a good life. A job she loves, a great apartment, and the guy she’s been dating for more than two years is a catch and a half. But it’s boring…and she strives to keep it that way. Too many emotions are dangerous. Her own past is living proof of what can happen when you lose control.

Then Nico walks into Elle’s office and everything changes…for both of them. But what can the tattooed, hard-bodied MMA fighter and the beautiful and always steady attorney have in common? A lot more than they bargained for.

***Author's note*** THIS IS A STAND-ALONE NOVEL.
Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Worth The Fight is a story that brings together two most uncommon people who fight in the right ways. Its a story about a MMA Fighter that is dealing with some legal problems. A  man who is haunted by the past, a recent event that still gives him nightmares and he still can’t bring himself to put himself back in the ring even though he is a natural at it. Elle thought she had it all….good looks, a career, a promising man she is mostly friends with but could be something more but when it comes down to it…her life is boring. She feels stuck in the road and doesn’t know where to turn. Until she gets a new client, a client that she is drawn to in ways she can’t explain. Nico wants Elle in his life, but only if he is the “only” man in her life. But the past haunts both Elle and Nico, and only together will they overcome it

Worth The Fight was a fantastic book and even though it wasn’t as good as I was expecting. I think I had super high expectations for this one since everyone loves this author so much. Even though I do like her writing style, it wasn’t what I thought it would be. But it didn’t take long to fall easily into this book. What I was worried about at first was the “cheating” aspect. But I was able to sigh in relief because it just wasn’t a issue that was prominent in this story. I love the hero in this book. He is full of vulnerabilities and struggles. He was in a fight, and with one punch his opponent was killed, and he was devastated. Later to learn that his opponet had a trauma building up in brain, one that no one knew about. And now he has to deal with some legal problems that end up really causing a problem and could prove to be his achilles heel.

The romance that builds between these two is fiery hot at first, but the emotional build up is slow but steady. I like how hot they were for each other in all sorts of ways not just in the bedroom. They had an instant connection to each other, and they truly “get” one another. What impressed me about this story is the depth of emotion that erupts in moments you least expect it too. I know  there were some mixed reviews on this because it does have a more insta love feel to it. What I felt was it had a more insta connection, but we see their relationship grow in depth in this story as they aid each other in overcoming certain challenges that they are faced with.

When we met, we were two injured souls. Both keeping the real out of our lives for fear of what we might find. But nothing could have kept us apart. I never believed in destiny. Thought that was a bunch of crap for people who read too many books. Until I met you. You’re it for me, Babe. I didn’t even know I was missing something until I found you, but now I don’t know how I got through a day without what you’ve given me. You’re my soul mate. As sappy as it sounds, it’s god damn true. Nothing has ever been truer in my life. So no, I’m not worried about this fight not helping me heal from my past, because it’s you who does that for me. You’ve filled all the cracks in my heart and made me better. I never thought I’d say this after what I went through, but I’m the luckiest bastard on this earth

Wonderful review! I’ve never heard of this book, but generally like the author and always appreciate a good ‘opposites attract’ type story 🙂 <3

This sounds like a great read. I like that the relationship built into something deeper.

This sounds interesting! I admit though, any sort of cheating puts me off. She’s dating a guy for two years and is going to break with him in the story? Or was that done early on! *bites nails* Your review was wonderful!

Have a great week, Renee. =)

I’ve also heard such wonderful things about Keeland but I’ve never read any of her books. I am curious about this one though. And I do love an MMA hero. 🙂

I haven’t read anything by this author and I can’t remember if I’ve ever read a book with an MMA character. This one looks interesting so I’m going to check it out. Thanks for the review, Renee!

I know what you’re saying about the insta-love vs insta-connection and I like how this one made you feel. Yes, insta-connections are real and that the emotional build up is slow…well, it sounds well done. I have this on audio and now I’m even more eager to get to it! Lovely review!
