Scandal. Wealth. Power. Seduction. Welcome to the world of the O'Malleys.

Ex-cop Charlotte Finch used to think there was a clear line between right and wrong. Then her fellow officers betrayed her, and the world is no longer so black and white. Especially when it's Aiden O'Malley, one of the most dangerous men in Boston, who offers her a chance for justice. The only catch: she'll have to pretend to be his fiancée for his plan to work.

Aiden can't afford to let anyone see the man behind the mask. To run the O'Malley empire, he has to be cool and controlled at all times. But the moment he meets Charlie, they're playing with fire. Her slightest touch is enough to send him over the edge. At first their "engagement" was a way to eliminate his enemies. Now he'll do whatever it takes to keep her safe-- even if he has to destroy his own family to do it.

Undercover Attraction is a stunning story and we continue on with the O Malley clan, and in this wonderful book we have AIDEN’s story—yep you heard me….the eldest and the biggest baddass of them all. I honestly didn’t know how I would feel about this book, to be honest. Aiden is the one sibling I have really really struggled with through this series. He is the one sibling that never says no to their parents, always falls in line and does what is necessary. But in this book, we see a whole new side to his character, and that is what really made this book fantastic. Aiden has burned quite a few bridges with his siblings. But we see how has had to, because he bears every weight on his shoulders. He is the epitome of being the oldest child, taking responsibliity for his siblings and looking out for them even if it doesn’t look that way. But in Undercover Attraction  we see how he has a plan, a devious plan to save his youngest sister from marriage, it has one draw back, he will have to keep the truth from his family, only a few people can know including the one woman that he is drawn to and he knows she is perfect. Our heroine reluctantly agrees to pose as Aiden’s fiancee to get justice for how some dirty cops turned on her, and her life fell apart. Everyone sees her as a bad cop, even though she is innocent even her own family rejected her. But as she works with Aiden, and gets to know his siblings, she starts to see what “family” is really about and what has been missing in her life.

There were so many fun and thrilling aspects to this story. The first was the trope that we get introduced to here. Its the whole fake engagement which is so great to see and rare in a contemporary romance and boy Robert’s wrote it so well. Then we get more exciting moments with this family. I swear the O’Malley’s are one of the most memorable families that I have ever had the opportunity to read. We get see all of our old favorites of course and side plot line with the youngest sister Keira and our nemesis of the series Dmitri. And boy I so can’t wait for their book!!!

Now the romance that builds between Aiden and Charlie starts off as chemistry. They are really opposites in most ways except when they touch and then is like fireworks. So yeah the sex in this book is hot and off the charts. What really proves them though is the emotional build up. They have to overcome some obstacles and start to let their emotions take over. They do learn to accept that what is between them is stronger than sex, it’s more binding. And they go from a fake engagement to building something more real. As both Charlie and Aiden starts to grow more into themselves, and change in some positive ways, we see how in touch they are with each other. We learn that Aiden isn’t the bad boy he appears to be and that Charlie has a vulnerable side despite how tough she tries to appear on the outside. But honestly what I really enjoyed about Charlie’s character was how she handles Aiden. She isn’t afraid of him and that really makes a different. She talks to him and fights with him when she believes he is wrong and I do think that she is exactly what he needs.

I don’t know how to explain it, but you fit. You see me in a way that no one else does, and you’re never afraid to push back when I’m being a dick.

And what a teaser at the end….man I want book SIX like NOW!!! But sadly we have to wait until February 2018. This is where these authors test our patience right? hehe

About Katee Robert

Katee Robert learned to tell stories at her grandpa’s knee. Her favorites then were the rather epic adventures of The Three Bears, but at age twelve she discovered romance novels and never looked back.

Though she dabbled in writing, life got in the way—as it often does—and she spent a few years traveling, living in both Philadelphia and Germany. In between traveling and raising her two wee ones, she had the crazy idea that she’d like to write a book and try to get published.

Her first novel was an epic fantasy that, God willing, will never see the light of day. From there, she dabbled in YA and horror, before finally finding speculative romance. Because, really, who wouldn’t want to write entire books about the smoking-hot relationships between two people?

She now spends her time—when not lost in Far Reach worlds—playing imaginary games with her wee ones, writing, ogling men, and planning for the inevitable zombie apocalypse.

I’ve heard such good things about this series, but I’m not sure I would like it. Criminal heroes and mob stuff just isn’t for me. So glad you enjoyed it, though, Renee!

I love this series Quinn, but it is slightly darker than what you are used to but honestly I think you might like it. Its different of course, but I love this family though, these siblings trying to escape the world that they were born into.
