There are many rules a priest can't break. A priest cannot marry. A priest cannot abandon his flock. A priest cannot forsake his God.

I've always been good at following rules. Until she came. My name is Tyler Anselm Bell. I'm twenty-nine years old. Six months ago, I broke my vow of celibacy on the altar of my own church, and God help me, I would do it again. I am a priest and this is my confession.

***Priest is a standalone, full-length novel with an HEA.  For mature audiences only.***

Priest is the first book in the Priest series by Sierra Simone. Now I kept hearing about this book all over the romance community and I realized that I really needed to pick up this author. Now Erotic Romance is not my favorite genre in romance to read because I haven’t always had the best experiences in it but I really liked Priest. Now this review isn’t going to be super long or anything because I read this book a week ago and I still don’t know how I feel about this book here. I enjoyed it quite a bit and it was a story I had a hard time putting down but I think I did struggle with the religious aspects of the story that comes into play here. Now I am not Catholic but I am a Christian, so even though I am not a member of this specific denomination there were some aspects of the story I liked and other I did struggle with at times. But what really impressed me is seeing the spiritual and physical intimacy between these two just explode for this reader. I have to give all the credit to Sierra Simone for writing such a compelling and mind blowing story that takes you into the forbidden and it becomes real in emotion and ALL the feels that you expect from a romance and I have to say that what this author does with this story is phenomenal and I aim not sure exactly what I was expecting but this book is one you will feel with your heart, soul and body.

The story itself is about a catholic priest who is our alpha delicious hero who became a priest out of guilt for a crime that a priest committed against his sister. But he still had desires and they are put to the test when a young woman comes in for confession. It’s her first time in a Catholic Church and she has her own inner struggles that she had to face up to but the chemistry between these two is explosive. They explore that chemistry that they feel for each other and try to keep their relationship a secret but both of them will have to find a way to find the peace they are searching for and also fight for what they have and to keep it.

This is a story that will test your boundaries and maybe even your limits but it’s a book about true love in many formats and seeing this couple find their own way past the forbidden and into forever. SPECTACULAR!!!!!

About Sierra Simone

Sierra is a voracious reader of all things including the smuttiest smut, young adult, piles of non-fiction for research, and everything Bill Bryson (especially on audio).

She loves writing the dirtiest things that she can think of, King Arthur, sparkling water, Tarot, coffee, leggings, and learning new words daily.

Her previous jobs have included firing ceramics, teaching living history lessons in one-room school house in full, 1908-approved school marm attire, and working as a librarian for several years—not in that order

She lives in the Kansas City area with her hot cop husband, two children, and two giant dogs. (And two cats, but they're so naughty we don't talk about them.)

The social media she cares about the most are Spotify and Instagram. Following her in those places is a true love language, indeed.

Sierra is represented by Rebecca Friedman of RF Literary; foreign rights are handled by Bookcase Literary.
