When Brent Mason looks at Kennedy Randolph, he doesn’t see the awkward, sweet girl who grew up next door. He sees a self-assured, stunning woman…who wants to crush the most intimate - and prized - parts of his anatomy beneath the heels of her Christian Louboutins.
Brent has never let the loss of his leg in a childhood accident affect his ability to lead a fulfilling life. He sets high goals–and then he reaches them.
And now he has his sights set on Kennedy.**When Kennedy looks at Brent Mason, all she sees is the selfish, Abercrombie & Fitch catalogue-worthy teenager who humiliated her in high school to join the popular crowd. A crowd that made those years a living hell.
She’s not a lovesick social outcast anymore - she’s a DC prosecutor with a long winning streak behind her. Brent is the opposing attorney in her next case and she thinks it’s time to put him through a little hell of his own.
But things aren’t exactly working out that way.
Because every fiery exchange has her wondering if he’s as passionate in the bedroom as he is in the courtroom. Each argument and objection only makes him want her more. In the end, Brent and Kennedy may just find themselves in love…or in contempt of court.

APPEALED is a sexy, humorous romance about first crushes, second chances and the final verdict of the heart.

After reading the first book of Legal Briefs, I was super eager to pick this one up!!! I had such a fun time with this one. What was most enjoyable was the bantering that these two engaged in. Brent Mason and Kennedy Randolph once liked each other and more, but misunderstandings of the past drove them apart. Now they are facing opponets in a courtroom. But as they face off, the secrets of the past unravel and they learn the truth and learn to open up to each other and find love that was always beneath the surface.

What an incredible romance that this one turned out to be. I liked it way more than book one. Even though there is some fun bantering with a bit of angst, it didn’t have an “angst” feeling at all, and it didn’t last very long. I liked seeing these two become honest with each other. It was simply delightful to see Brent court Kennedy, and the sweet and romantic things he does for her. We have quite a few heated smexy times too—and boy it gets hot enough to fog up the windows for sure.

A heartwarming and sexy romance that you won’t want to put down!!! SIMPLY FANTASTIC

Yay!!!!! I’m so glad you loved this one too. I agree it was even better than book one, although book two was a whole lot of fun. God but I love Emma Chase’s writing! Great review 🙂

oh yes her writing is so fun to read. I did love the banter in this one but the heroine took a while to grow on me. Book 2 is my favorite of the three, although book one is my least favorite. Stanton drove me crazy.

You know I loved Sustained, but for some reason I still haven’t read Appealed. I do want to and I’m so glad you loved it, too. Have you read Sustained, yet?

Yes I just read it last week and LOVED it especially with the kids. My favorite of the series, but if you liked book 2, you will like this one. The banter is so entertaining.

I’m so worried about reading this series after my experience with Julie James’ books (I’m a lawyer and I had inaccuracy) but I keep hearing these are great so I need to just give them a try! Love the banter you described!

I wouldn’t really know much about the legal inaccuracy’s, this is one of the few lawyer books I have read, but I think you would like it.

Wasn’t this a good one? Kennedy drove me nuts but Brent more than made up for my frustrations with Kennedy and then in the end, I thought Kennedy really came around. But yes, this book was heaps better than the first book in this series. That book drove me right up the wall. Freaking Stanton!

    Great review sweetie!

oh it was…I just loved the bantering. AT first I was a bit doubtful, especially with the heroine because man I didn’t like her at first. But man that scene in the courtroom with the teen just broke my heart. I agree about the first book!!! Stanton drove me really nuts, I just never liked him.

I haven’t read any of this author’s books! Do you have any recommendations? I know she has a lot of books published (if I’m remembering correctly). This series sounds pretty good, though I’m not really feeling the lawyer type. 😀

    Wonderful review!

I would recommend reading book 2 (my favorite of the series) or 3, book one was my least favorite. I do think you would like this author even if you aren’t the lawyer type.
