When I was eighteen, I stood at the precipice of stardom. I had the record deal. And the tour to back it up. But I succumbed to the pressure of that life. The dark side.
Now, I skate on the fringe. My brother is the genius guitarist for the band Caged, and I’m the one who helped make that happen. I’m happy to run my bars and my land development company.
Sure I am.
And then I meet her—Taryn Ayers—the music manager behind the three biggest bands in the country. She doesn’t know I’m Cam’s older brother. Or that I’ve got a secret that makes her world and mine fundamentally incompatible. Problem is, I want to know Taryn.
But do I want her to know me?
Lost For You is a New Adult standalone romance.
Lost For You is a sensual but emotionally riveting romance that takes us on a journey of heartbreak and struggles to learn to fight for love….
Lost For You was the first book that I have read by this author and I am so glad that I did because this book was distracting and fun and did make me shed a tear or two. But truly the characters are what really made this story so endearing. Our key players of this rockin’ romance are:
- Chase Noble, our gorgeous hero, who has a talented voice, runs a bar and has various talents and struggles with drug addiction.
- Taryn Ayers, our strong heroine, driven and passionate, she struggles with past memories that haunt her but knows what she wants is life.
This book was a bit different than I was even expecting. I will say that there is a “love triangle” of sorts. And even though we know the key players of the story, Chase, and Taryn, there is another player that adds some serious conflict and drama to the story and a character I wasn’t a huge fan of. He just rubbed me the wrong way especially in the ways that he treats Taryn here. Beckett once was in a relationship with Taryn, but then he hurt her but they still remain friends and still care about each other. But Beckett isn’t ready to settle anymore. He likes his array of girls and from what we learn, Beckett just hasn’t treated Taryn very well. He is the type of guy that doesn’t want her dating anyone else but still isn’t fully ready to commit, and Taryn isn’t sure that she could ever trust him again.
But then she meets Chase, who makes her feel alive and sexy and we see how he treats her is completely different from how Beckett has treated her. Taryn knows that he would never hurt her or cheat on her….NEVER. She just knows that she can trust him unconditionally. And even though there are some set of circumstances that keep them from being together fully, we also see what a great connection they have, a bond that goes way deeper than just sex.
Can you take my broken soul?
Were you sent to make me whole?
Take me baby, make me your own. Don’t believe what you can’t be shown.
Chase is struggling with his own demons and tends to be a bit blinded at times by his expectations. He was once a drug addict, and is recovering and trying to heal from the past, however, when it comes to his addiction he is a bit naive at times which I actually liked. Because otherwise he would be this perfect hero, and I like my heroes to have some flaws and I enjoyed seeing him work through his issues and become stronger and more resilient.
I really adore the style of writing that is incorporated here, because it was just delicious. I was pulled in pretty quickly and I just got hooked on Chase and Taryn’s story. IRRESISTIBLY SEXY!
Ooooooo I love the sound of this 😀 I actually pre-ordered it and got the first one as a freebie. Now I’m excited!
oh this one definitely sounds intense!
Excellent review! I love rockstar romance LOL
Omg chest hair!
It’s been a while since I read a rocker romance. I agree about heroes having at least one vulnerability or flaw to make them human for me. This sounds good. I’ll have to check out the series.
