Though Ben was heir to the vast Australian holdings of Penrod Station, he had no intention of saddling himself with a wife–until he met his match in the most alluring and contrary creature he’d ever beheld. And now, Ben finds himself being refused by the one woman who has captured his heart for all time.
Why Brave Land, Brave Love?
I read quite a few years ago, and I just had a blast with it. What was pretty wonderful was the setting and the romance. I love an austrialian setting, and its so rare to see and I love that Connie Mason is the type of author that explores various setting, including this country. In this book, we have a scenario of the heroine being a street urchin and our hero is a man she attempts to take money from. They start a fake engagement and fall in love along the way. I truly adored these two together and there is quite a bit of adventure and sensuality.
I like the premise 🙂
I like a variety of settings too. I remember loving that Victoria Holt set a few of her historical romantic suspenses in Australia when I was racing through all the books on her backlist. I’ll have to watch for this one.
Oh wow I think I will have to pick up Victoria Holt. I do like her writing but haven’t read her in a while. I do love romantic suspense and don’t read enough of it.
Love the old school cover!
