Their Passion Shaped a Nation
Over the years, Jake and Miranda Harkner have endured all the dangers a wild and brutal West could throw at them. Now, settled on their ranch in the beautiful Colorado hill country, they’ve finally found peace. But for a man like Jake Harkner, danger is always lurking, and the world may not be ready for an infamous outlaw-turned-lawman-turned-legend to hang up his guns.Threatened by cruel men in search of revenge, the Harkner clan must be stronger than ever before. Yet nothing can stop the coming storm. With the Old West dying around them and the rules of this new world ever-changing, Jake vows to end the threat to his family no matter what it takes…
Even if it means sacrificing himself so his beloved Miranda may live
Why I LOVE Love’s Sweet Revenge?
This came out over the summer this past year and it still shocks me that it has so low of number of rating. Only 45, and its one of the best books I have ever read. So I wanted to do a shout out for this one. Now I do think you should read this series in order if you can, so you can get the full story but its not necessary, the author does provide some background information but you get more out of this one by reading books 1 and 2. Jake and Miranda are by far one of my favorite romance couples that have ever been written. This one is pretty emotional driven, that is how Bittner writes. And I love how realistic she makes the “wild west” appear here. She gives such a great balance of historical aspects, emotional portrayal and a powerfully driven romance. This is a couple that you can easily relate with. They go through real struggles and we see how this couple and this family become stronger and come together whether good or bad happens. You can never go wrong with picking this one up.
I have this trilogy sitting on my self waiting to be read. Thanks for the reminder! I hope to get to it soon.
oh Carole you so need to read this trilogy, you will LOVE it, I promise!!!
Only 45 reviews? How sad! It was one of my best reads of the year. Glad you’re promoting it for your book love post.
Oh I know Sophia…its so sad especially she is such a talented author. I can’t wait for book 4!, have you seen the new cover and blurb yet? Gives me the shivers just thinking about it hehe
Not yet. I’ll have to scope it out.
Check out her website, its not on goodreads yet. I really am having bittersweet feelings, because I am SO not ready for their story to be over.

Ah yes, my heart is heavy that this is the last of it, but you know, she did say down in her news that she wants to write more Jake stories. So, maybe… 🙂
Thanks for sharing the link. I enjoyed seeing that cover.
Good on you for boosting this book/series. Checking it out now!
oh you definitely need to check this series out for sure. Bittner is amazing talent, and I definitely think you would enjoy her work.
Oh I love this family, Renee! I wanted to read this one but gah got behind. I’ll have to get to it soon and up that 45. That’s crazy for how good her books are.
They are so great right?? I love all the kids and the grandkids are so adorable. Especially little Jake. You definitely need to catch up soon Anna before book four comes out this year!! It is pretty crazy that the ratings are so low. Always saddens me to see a great talented author be so underrated.
