Marriage is more than she ever bargained for.
Bestselling author Julianne MacLean’s Regency-era trilogy of royal romance comes to a breathless conclusion…
Handsome Prince Nicholas of Petersbourg is an infamous ladies’ man, but even he doesn’t expect a flirtation at a masquerade ball to turn into abduction. Especially with a jailor as temptingly beautiful as the young woman on the other side of the locked door…
Veronique Montagne was desperate when she agreed to kidnap a prince to settle her profligate father’s gambling debts, and certainly didn’t imagine that her prisoner might sweet-talk her into helping him escape. Saving her home is now the least of her troubles, especially when the attraction simmering between her and the angry prince blazes into true passion. To save them both from scandal, Nicholas proposes a convenient marriage—but when a vengeful plot threatens to tear them apart, he discovers that Veronique’s love is what he desires most of all…
Why I LOVE The Prince’s Bride?
This is a romance that involves a kidnapping. Now I know what your thinking….another captive romance but its not your conventional one. Our heroine needs to save her family, so she kidnaps the hero here. This is a story that is carefree, witty and a book you can just breeze through. What really did it for me, was the romance and the connection these two have. This is one of those “insta love” themes that everyone can fall in love with. MacLean did a brilliant job with this one, because even if they fall in love quickly, it doesn’t have that too rushed feeling many novels that have this trope do. If you need a refreshing historical…grab this one up—you won’t regret it.
I love stories where the heroine actually kidnaps the hero (or at least hijacks his carriage/plans) haha. I’ll definitely have to check out this series! Thanks for the rec!
Okay, I’ll be adding this one. 😀
I don’t think I have ever read a book where the female kidnaps the hero, sounds like fun!
Oh, that should be an interesting one! I’ve read the first two in the series and have this on my TBR. Guess I’ll be checking it out soon! 🙂
Oh this one sounds fun – I’m gonna grab it and add it to my neverending TBR!
Oh I have a couple of hers. Good times. I love a kidnapping theme 🙂
Love this cover!
