Deep Dives is a new feature here on the site, I have been wanting to do this for a while now. This is a feature where I will focus on the works of one specific author (and if you want an author for me to delve into their works, let me know and I will add it to my list) normally this feature will be an author that is popular or readers want more background on. But I think this is a good idea as I have seen it around booktube and bookstagram. So I thought it would be fun to maybe get it going in the blogging atmosphere! We gotta stay with the times peeps haha

Christine Feehan is a #1 New York Times bestselling author multiple times over with her portfolio including over 90 published novels, including five series; Dark Series, GhostWalker Series, Leopard Series, Drake Sisters Series, the Sisters of the Heart Series, Shadow Riders and Torpedo Ink. All of her series have hit the #1 spot on the New York Times bestselling list as well. Her debut novel Dark Prince received 3 of the 9 Paranormal Excellence Awards in Romantic Literature (PEARL) in 1999. Since then she has been published by various publishing houses including Leisure Books, Pocket Books, and currently is writing for Berkley/Jove. She also has earned 7 more PEARL awards since Dark Prince.

Christine Feehan is an author that has become so iconic and influenced so many readers and she definitely deserves all that honor! Her books are incredibly written and so impactful and she is such a prolific writer as well! She has so many series that you can choose from including some standalones if you are new to her and find some of her books overwhelming. I can tell you that she is worth investing it for sure. And there are so many unique type of series that she has written, something for everyone whether its supernatural, suspense, mafia, MC or shape shifters or some cozy small town witches. There is such variety to her stories, and if you are a historical romance fan, she does have a couple of standalones that will work highly for you! So lets get the ball rolling and share the delights of this author! Fair warning she has a LOT of books, so this might get long!

Carpathians

This is a series that is well loved and the world building is some of the BEST that I have ever had the pleasure of reading! Carpathians are immortal, and are similar to vampires, but in this world, vampires have no soul and that is what seperated them. If the males don’t find their lifemate, then they lose emotion and color in their lives and if they give into the darkness that builds in them without a lifemate to succor them, they turn evil and lose their souls. This series has a combination of hero types and heroines. There are some alpha males, both super possessive and some more alphamellows, then we have our heroines who are a mix of embracing their femininity and feminist types. Both are well written. I do recommend reading this series in order due to the aspects of world building. If you like audiobooks, I recommend the earlier books especially in audio, the versions done by Rebecca Cook and Juanita Parker. I own them because they are that GOOD! There are currently 32 books in this series, and my personal favorites are: Dark Challenge, Dark Legend, Dark Celebration, Dark Wolf and Dark Song.

Ghost Walkers

The Ghostwalkers series is one of the other series that has been going on as long as her Carpathians, but its completely unique from her Carpathians. This series is more featured on a romantic supsense feel to them with a bit of science to them. It features military units who were experimented on and received psychic abilities but they weren’t the only ones experimented on, there were girls experimented on who had no choice but the mad scientist and villain of the series, manipulated their DNA to match them on a sexual level and these are their story. If you love romantic suspense, then you need these books in your life. My personal favorites are: Shadow Game, Conspiracy Game, Ruthless Game and Toxic Game.

Leopard People

The Leopard People series is a fantastic series but be warned these books are some of the steamiest that she has EVER Written! They are intense and wild but fantastic in every way! I just love how well these books are built and there are so many different characters in this one, but these heroes are UBER ALPHA or at least most of them are, I think the only exception is Savage Nature. He is probably the healthiest alpha male in the series. And you can always read it as a standalone if you are nervous about the series or books. Its also my personal favorite of the series. Its just magical! My personal favorites: Savage Nature, Burning Wild, Leopard’s Fury and Leopard’s Scar.

The Sea Haven World

This world feature three of Feehan’s series. It has been quite a journey in seeing this author build on these books. I absolutely adore how she developed this world. This considsts of the Drake Sisters, Sisters of the Heart and Torpedo Ink. I do recommend reading these books in order if you can.

The Drake Sisters series—This is a series of a family of witch sisters and each have various magical abilities that are unique to them. Within this series we are also introduced to a family of brothers who lead us to the heroes in the next connected series “Sisters of the Heart” Jolie, the heroine from Turbulent Sea, meets Ilya Prakinskii who is the youngest of the brothers and there is a fated love theme to this one.

Sisters of the Heart—A group of women that come together after coming from families that abandoned them and they found each other and created a sister hood and they all have different psychic abilities. But their fated mates are each of the Prakenskii brothers. These brothers were all seperated as kids, and forced into Russian schools. The book “Bound Together” connects everyone to the Torpedo Ink which is Czar’s second family and one he has stronger ties to than the one he was actually born into and this is the MC based series. I really love the gritty feel to this series here and Feehan also deals with some unique kinks that are really well done.

Shadow Riders

This is a series that is one of my all time favorites! I just love these books. If you love mafia romance, then this series is definitely for you! This series is based on a family of shadow riders who are fighters, assassins of taking out the evils of the world.

Sunrise Lake

This is a new series that Feehan recently started writing and its a romantic thriller series. I would recommend don’t expect these books to be like her others, the romantic elements are lighter but I still enjoyed these quite a bit!

Historical Standalones

These two standalones have a gothic feel to them but have a historical setting and they are so unique and different and I think they are simply superb.
