I can’t believe that we are at the end of May already, where has the time flown. I just love May, its the month that brings the end of cold weather and where the sun is shining with plenty of rainshowers to keep it green and beautiful. I haven’t read too many books this month, been pretty busy with life and working on my database for you all. I am getting close to being done though. I am about a third of the way through the Time Era’s and boy am I having so much fun putting them together. I have also been getting back into coloring again and yeah I treated myself this month for sure. I bought Johanna Basford’s latest books that I didn’t have in my collection. (and those that color, if you haven’t d one her books yet BUY THEM…hehe they are my favorite and she has some of the most beautiful illustrations that are so fun to color.
So I bought Magical Jungle and Ivy and the Inky Butterfly. Both are so fun. Ivy and the Inky Butterfly I will have a blast coloring, and its a storybook too and its such a fun and sweet children’s story that I can’t wait to color it so I can read it to my nephews since they LOVE books!! I also bought some new coloring supplies. I have been using Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils the past few years, however I noticed that the Faber Castell Polychromos price has gone down on their largest set of 120. I have been wanting these for so long, because they are such high quality and will last me longer.
What I love about these pencils is one they are GORGEOUS, so pretty I just want to look at them all day. They have gold lettering and a closed cap at the end which leaves such a nice look to them. And they are thicker and heavier so they fit better in your hand. The company is a family run business and has been around since the 1700’s. So COOL right? Especially for a historical lover like MOI!! But these are great because I can go a week without having to sharpen them and they never break which is so different since Prismacolors you have to sharpen every time you use them and the leads tend to break quite often. And they blend so beautifully since they are oil based so you don’t have to deal with wax film. So I got the set of 120 and so many pretty colors. Here are the pages I have done so far here
I haven’t been reading too much because I have been wanting to get my database finished, but I have read some good ones and this past week I was in the mood for one of my favorite couples so I re read the Outlaw Hearts series by Rosanne Bittner. LOVE me some Jake and Randy and their fun family and I really haven’t been in the mood for the ARC’s on my kindle. And what is odd I have only been in the mood for historical romances so I have been binging on those lately. I am thinking this weekend I will just read some books I bought from the library. 🙂 Since they have been sitting on my shelf for two months. Also have you all seen the new updated cover for Maya Bank’s historical Highlander Ever After. I think we all have been waiting years but I think finally it will be coming out this winter. And AVON is the new publisher so I am happy about that. Since I have adored this publisher for so many years.
