Can you believe that we are already in October? I can’t believe that we are so far into the autumn season. I swear the summer season just went by so fast, of course, 2021 doesn’t seem to be that much better of a year as 2020. It just seemed to get more extreme and more crazy. What is our world coming to? This month has been an interesting one. We just got into our cold temps. Something about Utah, is we get hot weather until right before October (normally the last week of September) we have a rain storm and then its just cooler, sweater weather. I just love everything about the autumn season and its my favorite season. This month has been a struggle physically though. Struggling with High Blood Pressure, my heart was hurting last night (not sure if its part of HBP or something else) and then started to get another oral infection so not feeling so great and its costing more money than I can spare. Still haven’t found a job yet (going to ask for help from my church so its not so stressful for me), so relying on savings and plasm donation, thank goodness for library books. (is it bad that I have access to four library digital systems? haha somehow I am still in the Dallas library system not sure how but not complaining. Blogging has been such a lifesaver for me this month. I know for some its can be highly stressful and feel them with anxiety. But for me, this has never been the case. Blogging is a stress reliever for me, because its a passion for me not a chore. I have had a mix reaction to books, I might be getting into a slump lately of the books I am physically reading on my kindle, not sure why. I think its just the anxiety and stress I have currently and its hard to focus. So I might switch to audiobook only listening for a while. I did have a big disappointment this month and had to let go of an author: Sarah MacLean. I am not going into this too much, but feel free to check out my review of her latest ” Bombshell” but it was a DNF, and completely over the top in its feminism and honestly it felt like It was more about messaging than delivering a good story. That is not why I read romance. And I can’t support that author any longer. But if you still love her work, than I am happy for you. It was heartbreaking this month to let her go as I have loved her books over the years. I will either this weekend or Monday, be doing something fun with the family. Its conference weekend (for those that don’t know I am a Latter Day Saint and its our semi annual church worldwide conference) and we want to do our scenic fall route of going around the mountains all around our Utah Lake and see the differing shades of fall colors. Will take pictures so next month you can see my adventures.
Now I know this seems like a ton here!!!! But it really isn’t. I mean I have been reading a lot this month, but some of these reviews are reviews I wrote while on hiatus and trying to slowly get them all implemented and formatted. And its a plus for you all to see what I read during my break this year.

Goodreads Reading Challenge: 204/300- I am slowly getting caught up, I am still behind by about 16 books. But last month I was 30 books behind so my audiobook listening is helping me slowly get there, and hope I will catch up by the end of the year.
I was so lucky to have been able to pick up so many goodies this month. It felt like my birthday being able to read these ARC’s early. And all of them fulfilled expectations that I had. This month was a solid reading month and I am so happy for my reading adventures.
I hope you will get your blood pressure under control. You may need to change your diet. Have fun on your conference a good time get some relaxation.
Well actually since I learned I have been eating super clean and everything. Or my doctor just isn’t putting me on the right meds who knows? I just know I feel horrible and it isn’t getting better. Even though I am doing everything I can.
Oh no. That sounds awful. I battled severe anxiety a year ago and sometimes it felt like I was having a heart attack. It’s not a fun or pleasant experience and it just amps you up even more. I hope you are able to get some relief and recover. I hope your doctor is able to figure it out and help you. <3
Sorry to hear you are struggling a bit. Hope everything (or at least some things) get better soon. I am with you on why I read romance. I understand that it’s the author’s freedom of expression, but I just want a story I can get lost in without soapboxing or politics. I get that some people want that, and it’s great there is stuff out there for them, but it’s not what I look for in entertainment. (I have access to three digital libraries and it’s great!)
You have read so many books! And I am sorry for your health problems! I hope you’ll get the right medicine soon enough!
We were 51 this morning, but will see a high of 79. This is the time of year we all get sick. Ugh. I am hoping your health improves. Hugs.
