Blogging News and Life
What a crazy and stressful month it has been. I normally love the month of November, but with all the stresses that come with Election November, its a month I am happy to move forward from. Not that it was all terrible, but this month especially I had a difficult time keeping the stress from getting to me. I did try to focus on reading, but got a bit behind on my goodreads reading challenge. So I am hoping this month I will have more time to read. I was able to spend Thanksgiving, at least have dinner buffet style with a blogging friend and that was fun. But the food wasn’t quite what I was used to hehe Not sure what I am doing for Christmas but homecooked meal I will do. hehe I have been starting to convert my old reviews to UBB format, not as many as I would like but in December I plan on working on more. I did have some fun time discovering Bullet Journaling. Such a blast…like really I am hooked on it. I have Nick and Nereyda to thank for that. It sounds like the perfect way to keep a journal and a planner with not much planning. I already have all of December all layed out so I just have to fill it in which is nice. Only took a couple of hours. I am a bit addicted to Washi tape though. Here are some of what I have done. Still learning though. This has helped me so much be more organized and use my creativity a bit too. I also have had a blast discovering Half Price Books, so many goodies. I have decided that I love not having cold weather in November. Its AMAZING!! Enjoying the nice warm weather.

Hey you! Great post and despite the troubling start to the month, it looks like November turned around for you. I’m so glad!
Nick & Nereyda are responsible for my addiction to my Happy Planner. I wanted to do something like that, something that I could sustain for an entire year and 2017 will be for my Happy Planner/Bullet Journal mashup. I’m so excited to start!! I’m right there with you on washi tape. I’m developing an addiction to stickers too. Sticker kits are my jam right now and I don’t see an end in sight. Gah.
One more month to finish up those challenges. Good luck sweets! I hope you have a wonderful December!
Hugs!
Oh Thanks Rowena….you are such a sweetheart!!! Stickers are pretty addicting too, I do scrapbooking as well, although now I do more digital than traditional but both are fun. I have no clue if I will finish my challenges in time, probably not. But I am going to try. Hope you enjoy some fun times in December too!!! Just love this time of year, so festive and cheerful.
Great month…pne of these days I will try bullet journalling…looks like so much fun I just have no time.
Thanks Melissa!!! I definitely recommend it. It is fun, but you can really simplify it more than I do. For some people a month can take 10 minutes. I am just creative and like something pretty. hehe
I have recently fallen a little behind in my reading challenges too. I will catch up, but November has been crazy and I’ve had a hard time focusing. I love your bullet journal. I tried bullet journallng a bit ago, but it didn’t really work for me. I use an Erin Condren now, but I switch it up all the time!
oh yes Quinn…I just forget about my challenges most of the time. I really need to get better at keeping track of them. Sorry to hear that Bullet Journaling didn’t work out for you, I like it so far. So hopefully I will continue to love it.
Bullet Journaling is new to me. Yours looks whimsical and fun. Yes, November had some stress moments for me, too. Glad you had a Thanksgiving companion even if the buffet was so-so.
Nice group of books you listed for those that stood out for you.
Thank you Sophia. I do love it so far. I like how its customizable, and since I have yet to find a planner that works for me, I think I found a system that I love. Yeah the buffet was okay, but the company was wonderful.
Yay for doing a bullet journal and going to HPB! Haha sorry the food wasn’t what you were used to, for some reason my Dad only wants to go there every year. π
oh thank you hun!!!! I just LOVE HPB, I am hooked because wow they have some really good selection. Lots of old and new so its just perfect. I blame you of course for telling me about it hehe. The food was okay—its Golden Corral so I knew it wouldn’t be like my mamma’s home cooking hehe The company was what mattered for me, and you made it a good day for me. So thank you so much for the invite.
Oh yay π I figured you’d wind up loving HPB! I like to go there every now and then and see what random stuff or clearance items they have. Yeah, nothing can compare to a yummy home cooked meal. <333
Have a great December!
You too darling!
I have seen Sabrina Jeffries reviews everywhere lately. I really need to pick one of her books up. It looks like you had a great reading month. π
Oh I highly recommend you pick her up!! She is one of my all time favorite authors to read. She does great with witty bantering. And yes it was a fun reading month. Can’t wait to see what December will bring. Thanks for stopping by!!
Washi tape is terrible! lol It’s been just awful on my budget this past month. Heh Yay for having Dec done already. I do mine the week before. I did all of Oct at once and then was bored so I go slow now week at a time with layout and pretties.
isn’t Washi Tape the worst!!! It is painful on my budget for sure but worth it. I like to do the monthly and weekly’s ahead of time and then the daily’s I do the evening before. Its a great way to help me relax before bed.
Ahhh I just have monthly and weekly with a decent sized weekly space. So I sit down on the weekend and do it for the coming week. It is a nice way to unwind and relax before the next day or week kicks off π
Oh I have only read one book on your top recs list! I will have to check out the rest! I am intrigued by everyone’s bullet journals. I have NO creativity at all so its totally not for me, but I love seeing what others come up with!
haha I don’t think you need any creativity at all to do it. Considering it was created by a man that isn’t creative much hehe but you should check out the main site and video for it. I think you will want to try it out.
Glad you’re loving the warmer weather (kind of jealous about that as I live in Maine…LOL) and that you’re starting December ahead of the game with your bullet journal. I’ve seen so much about it recently that I’ll probably check it out for 2017. Maybe it’ll get me back in a more organized frame of mind. π
haha well I just moved from Utah where we get plenty of cold long winters. So I guess I am just too excited not having to deal with it for the first time in my life. I definitely recommend trying the bullet journal out, because it can work with whatever schedule or lifestyle you have. It has helped me be more organized though which is nice.
