Blogging News and Life
So December was quite the month for me. I had fun making changes to my blog to give the Christmas-y feel to it. I also started something new, and maybe some of you may have noticed. But starting this year, I will be doing a book release calendar for each month. I tweaked my own version of it, and it will make it easier to track book releases. So feel free to check it out here and let me know what you think. I also had a great reading month, and discovered some great books too!! Now in my personal life, it was a month of struggle. My boss delayed my pay (and yeah I quit that job), and was unable to go home for Christmas, but thankfully found a new job so hopefully financially life will get back to normal within a week or two. I did spend Christmas alone, for the first time in my life and yeah I will admit it was rough. But I did make a nice meal, and watched plenty of Christmas movies and did some coloring and relaxing. But hopefully in a few weeks once life gets back to normal I will be taking a week off and going back home so I am excited for that. So I am ready for 2016 to be over and hope that 2017 brings good things.

Happy New Year to you! I think the calendar of new releases is a great idea (not so much for me, because I have no self-control nor any money to spend on more books I barely have time to read lol). Sorry you spent the Christmas alone but at least you didn’t let that get you down.
I wish you the best of luck in 2017!
oh thank you hun. I am hoping my book release calendar will tempt other to buy books hehe Yeah it was hard spending it alone, but it was still a good day.
I am glad you found a new job so soon! And yes, Christmas alone can be hard, but you know your family is waiting for you back home. Have a great 2017!
Oh man, you had a whirlwind of a month! I’m so sorry that you had a switch jobs – that is never easy. But it’s good that you found another job so quickly. I’m interested in Warlord! Is that another “old” title? *pets cover* I can’t wait to read Heart on Fire! Did you see that it’s been delayed to January 2018 (instead of August 2017)? Booo! But hopefully it’s awesome.
Happy New Year, Renee! =)

Yeah it was a crazy month for sure!! You definitely need to try out Warlord. It is a older title, but dang was it good.
Such a bummer about the delay, but it seems to be happening a lot more lately especially to those books I am most anxious for.
I am so sorry you were alone on Christmas. It breaks my heart. I’m glad you’ll be able to visit family soon. I love the new calendar helps me with anything I might have missed. Have a great new blog year!
Thanks Ann. It wasn’t easy for sure, but it made me appreciate my family and spending the holidays with them even more. I hope the new calendar will help you out more. It will definitely help me as well keep track of books more efficiently.
That is horrible that your old boss held your pay and ruined your Christmas plans! I am outraged for you. Hopefully, you can celebrate with your family soon. It looks like you got a lot of great books read this month. Happy 2017!
Yeah it has been pretty horrid, and he acted like it was no big deal. I am still so mad at him for doing what he did especially since I never got paid for a month of work. But oh well, I am trying not to be too upset, because it just stresses me out and I really don’t want to get an ulcer on top of everything else. Hopefully things will get better soon. But I am looking forward to seeing my family soon, I have missed them.
Yes if anything else, I was able to pick up some great books to read. Hope you had a wonderful New Years!!
Sounds like December was a month where you were definitely still in transition. Hopefully January (and the new job!) will be tons better. π At least you have a trip home to look forward to!! And I have to say I do love the Book Release Calendar…what a great idea! I use a spreadsheet for my HarlequinJunkie TBR but this is a cool way to see all the pretties coming up. π
Gah on the old boss but yay for the new job already. That first Christmas alone is a hard one. I had that start a few years ago when I couldn’t get off from work. I’m glad you still had a nice relaxing day π
Boo to the old boss π I wondered what you did for Christmas, sorry you couldn’t make it home!
Yeah totally mad at him right now. Because I was hoping to go home for Christmas, heck I have had to sell some of my priceless books so I could have food hehe But I got a new job at a high end restaraunt and will be doing deliveries for catering companies. Not my best month at all. How was your Christmas? Hope you and your hubby had a wonderful time together.
Oh no π I’m so sorry to hear that hun <3333 I am happy you found a new job though, I hope this one works out better for you! We had a good Christmas, my BFF came in from out of town to hang out too which was really nice!
