I can’t believe that its September already….time sure does fly by when you are having fun. And today is the start of American Football (the only sport I really enjoy watching) SUPER Stoked. I am a BYU fan, and crossing my fingers they will do way better than last year. But I have high hopes since a coach from LSU has come to help the offense, so it should be a good thing. But I do like many other teams except for Alabama. (sorry Alabama fans) August was a pretty great reading month for me. I got quite a few books read, some audiobooks listened to and been working on getting back to the regular blogging schedule. I have been reading more printed books and been loving it more lately. Even though reading on my kindle is more easy throughout the day, I have found that I am loving reading printed books more and more and grabbed some delicious books from the library book store and B&N with a sale they were having the Labor Day Weekend. I tried out Scribd for a trial and decided its not for me. Even though I like that they put out mainstream romance, they limit your reading especially if you read more romance than other genres and yeah not going to pay that much for just a book or two a month to have access to. And maybe they do that if you are on a free trial, who know??!! I have had a blast setting up and working with other romance readers on our newest Online Romance Book Club “Romance Addicts” If you haven’t joined up, send me a email or DM on Twitter and I will send you an invite. I just love talking about books and romance and super stoked for our book of the month for September ” A Girl Like Her” by Talia Hibbert. I have gotten back to reading Ruby Dixon again and loving her Ice Planet Barbarian series. They are light and detailed and I love the characters and these sweet virgin heroes she writes because dang they are sexy. And some of my all time favorite books of the year I was able to read this month. The Duke with the Dragon Tattoo, The Governess Game, Dark Sentinel and Magic Triumphs. I also was able to watch Driven on Passionflix. Now if you haven’t watched that movie and loved the book, I highly recommend it. The chemistry was acted out so very well. Now to those who haven’t read the books, this movie does end in a cliffhangerso fair warning on that, but if you want to know the ending just grab the second book 🙂 since Fueled and Crashed won’t be made until 2019. And one of my top favorite books this month and is one of my favorite lighthearted books…The Kiss Quotient. I have been holding off on reading this book for ages, but I finally caved and grabbed it and really adored it more than I expected to. I need more autistic characters in romances!!! I believe I have only read two out of the 2600 romance novels I have read since my teens. So AUTHORS write more of these….if any of my readers have good recommendations, let me know.

This is a screenshot of books I grabbed at the library. 18 books is REALLY hard to put in one photo like this but it works. Now some are books I have read before and want printed copies of, and others are books I have on my GR Wishlist. The titles in this photo are: A Kiss Before Dawn by Kimberly Logan, All Through The Night by Suzanne Brockmann, The Guardian by Margaret Mallory, The Warrior by Margaret Mallory, The Chieftain by Margaret Mallory, The Sinner by Margaret Mallory, Sapphire by Rosemary Rogers, Sword of Darkness by Kinley MacGregor, Dark Side of Dawn by Kathryn Smith, Secrets of a Summer Night by Lisa Kleypas, Visions of Heat by Nalini Singh, A Lady’s Lesson in Scandal by Meredith Duran, Savage Mists by Cassie Edwards, Phantom by Lindsay Randall, Sugar Pine Trail by RaeAnne Thayne, Deepwood by Jennifer Roberson, Heart of a Wolf by Terry Spear, Lair of the Lion by Christine Feehan.
I am so excited to immerse myself into these books I purchased!! Super excited for Jodi Ellen Malpas, I have heard such wonderful things about her work and especially with This Man and The Protector in the works with Passionflix. And I heard a review of the This Man Series by Malpas on the Scandalicious Podcast and they raved about these books so I knew I needed to try this author out. Then another surprise is I am taking a chance on “The Deep End” I have been so fascinated by The Honey series. I was recommend this one by Michele @ Harlequin Junkies and we really enjoy the same books. And since its KA, I just know I have to try it out even though I am picky about BDSM and have never read a book about a dominatrix heroine and a alpha sub before. Should prove to be interesting. And I had to grab Dangerous, because it features a more mature couple and I love those. And I adore Sophie Jordan, and after reading The Duke Buys a Bride, I have been itching for While The Duke Was Sleeping. And I have learned that the closest B&N to me is not good in the romance selection. Probably because its Utah Valley and pretty much the majority of this area are all LDS (Mormons) so it does make sense. But I drove 40 mins to downtown Salt Lake and their romance section is HUGE!!! Going there from now on.
