An explosive new novel of love, lies, and obsession from bestselling author J.T. Geissinger.

Five years ago, my fiancé disappeared. He left me with a wedding dress I’d never wear. Left me with the kind of scars that can’t be healed. The man I built my future on vanished like a ghost. All that remained were my broken heart and unanswered questions.
Until a mysterious stranger arrives in town.
Tall, dark, and dangerous, Kage is as full of secrets as he is sex appeal. Though I know he’s hiding something, I’m drawn to him like a moth to flame.
The intensity of our connection is addictive, unlike anything I’ve ever felt before. Heat crackles between us with every look, desire flares into passion, and I fall hard, unable to resist.
But when I discover how he’s tied to the darkness in my past, I learn what happens when you fly recklessly into fire:
You get burned.

Ruthless Creatures was such an amazing read, there is something different about this author of late and I am loving seeing her delve into some darker elements in her books and I am loving them even more with these darker elements that she is introducing into her stories. Ruthless Creatures is a very obvious mafia romance. I will mention that this review is going to be WAY shorter than the norm. I read this over six months ago and I don’t remember too many details. I had thought I had written a review for it but apparently, I haven’t. So this is going to be brief but I did want to share some of my thoughts on this one and why I loved it so much here. This is a story that I couldn’t put down like literally, I am being serious. I was addicted to this book and saw how this romance would turn out because it’s a forbidden romance with a mix of enemies to lovers. The hero is literally sent to find the heroine’s ex-fiancee who disappeared but there are secrets that she isn’t aware of. I really loved the way that this author penned this book and the unique intrigue/mystery elements that brought something different to this story. I adored seeing this couple find their way to their HEA that was a battle considering how forbidden it was, and when you read this one you will see why a match between them is so forbidden and untouchable. Overall I had a blast with this one here and I delighted in every moment that this author delivers here.

You’re right, I’ve not seen her write a dark romance before. Glad it was so addictive. I haven’t read a mafia romance in eons.
