From the
New York Times
bestselling author of the Dark Protectors series comes a sexy romantic suspense about a woman determined to solve her sister's murder and the only man she can trust with long-buried family secrets.

Revenge. It's the only thing that will help Anya Best sleep at night. The serial killer who murdered her sister is on the loose, and Anya will stop at nothing to put him behind bars---even use herself as bait to lure him out of hiding. But she can't do this alone.
Private investigator Heath Jones's job is to bring bastards to justice. This time it's personal. He knew the Copper Killer's latest victim so when her sister asks for his help, he's all in. But when Anya uses the media to taunt the killer, she exposes Heath's identity, putting them both in jeopardy. Now, secrets buried long ago are coming to light and the forces determined to destroy him are watching Heath's every move, waiting to exact their own revenge. And they'll use anything and anyone to get to Heath.

Lethal Lies is the second book in the Blood Brothers series and we get a chance to continue on with our boys and their upcoming adventure and this book was a whopper. Rebecca Zanetti knows how to write her suspense and this book kept me on edge at times. Especially in scenes that we see from the perspective of the villain. And I really admire that in an author, is to see the evil workings and plans up ahead and see how our heroes/heroines conquer in the end.

Lethal Lies begins with our heroine, Anya, who is being stalked and when she reconnects with her sister who works for the FBI, her sister wants to help her out find out who is hunting her and our villain here is on a murder spree with multiple women who look like Anya and he is becoming more bold. After Anya learns that her sister is taken by him and murdered, she refuses to stand on the sidelines any more, and dares him on television and boldly declares Heath Jones as her fiancee. Even though there is a connection between Heath and Anya, at first their relationship begins with just a fake engagement. But as Anya and Heath work together to draw the villain into a trap…..their villain turns into something much closer to home than they realize

Lethal Lies was a kickass of a read and boy this book definitely kept me on edge. Now, at least for me personally, it didn’t feel quite as much of a page turner as the first book was, but it was such a solid story and I really fell for Heath and Anya. And of course, we get the whole group with our brothers. And we such more depths to them even more in this book and I really liked seeing how much they support each other through everything. I love how close knit these men are to each other. These brotherly bonds is so touching at times and seriously the “picking out the rings” moment just had me laughing and in tears at the same time. Zanetti certainly knows how to work my emotions so well.

This is a story and a trilogy you NEED to read in order, just to get everything that is building up especially with the evil plans of our villains. And boy the ending when we find out who the stalker is, he is one crazy man and we haven’t seen the last of him. This story just pulls you into this intense filled world. The romance that builds between Heath and Anya is fierce and passionate as their is a high level of sexual tension, but such sweet poignant moments.

Overall I found Lethal Lies to be a stunning addition to this trilogy and its portrayal was so vivid and such stimulating plot that will leave you breathless and eager for the finale.

About Rebecca Zanetti

his theme of romance has been carried through Rebecca’s works until present time. While today’s heroine may have a medical degree, black belt in Karate and her own 401K, she’s still after that happy ending. And today’s prince may have fangs and wear a black hat, but hey, a modern princess likes a guy who bites.

Rebecca attended Pepperdine University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a Political Science emphasis. While there she worked as the Editor-in-Chief of The Graphic newspaper, a member of the Pi Phi Sorority and an intern for President Reagan, who still gave 3-5 speeches a week, even though he was no longer president.

After college, Rebecca worked as an art curator and a Senate aide before heading to law school, where she received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Idaho. She married Tony Zanetti in the middle of her second year of law school and became pregnant with their first child during the third year. She graduated law school, gave birth three weeks later, and took the Bar Exam three weeks after that. All she remembers about the bar exam is that it was so quiet in the testing room, she thought about taking a quick nap. But she continued on, passed the bar and became a lawyer. She worked for a large firm, then a small firm, then the county while also teaching legal classes at her local community college. Now she writes romances about vampires, cowboys, and soldiers.

Growing up amid the glorious backdrops and winter wonderlands of the Pacific Northwest has given Rebecca fantastic scenery and adventures to weave into her stories. She resides there with her husband, children and extended family who inspire her every day. Rebecca has completed several manuscripts, winning award throughout the writing industry for her work. She is currently writes the Dark Protector series for Kensington Publishing, the Maverick Montana series for Entangled Publishing, and the Sin Brothers series for Grand Central Publishing.
