Cathian is the first book in her Vorge Crew series and I found this through “Audible Escape” or also well known as “Audible Romance Package” and it was a sexy short read, physically its only a little over 100 pages. And this drew me back to what I love about Science Fiction Romance and in this book we see a story where our heroine who is a ship smuggler of sorts, is captured when delivering medicine supplies to a planet. So she is put into the sex slave and they are purchased by a ship mate of a captain who is about to enter into his mating heat, Nara had little choice in accepting Cathian instead of other aliens who wanted to purchase her. But as Cathian and Nara connect sexually, more emotions become involved including their hearts. But this interlude is only for six days but when their time is over, Nara will have to fight to keep Cathian.
This was a sexy and fun book, which is what you get with her shorter books but I always have enjoyed this author’s work. I haven’t read too many of her sci fi romances to be honest, but this was such a great one and I have a good feeling about this series and I can’t wait to read more books in the series here. What we really get in this series is a lots of sexy times, now, I do want to say its a instant love connection trope here, so if you love those and have read this author before then you will more than likely enjoy this one. I will say the best parts of this book were the ending. I love seeing these two together and even though I think the author could have done so much more with this book as far as plot is concerned (this definitely could have been a novel if she chose, plenty material to work with for sure) but this was a nice short read that got me wanting to check out the other books in the series. And the cover is gorgeous, her new covers are really WELL DONE, and for a self published author, I am HIGHLY impressed in that.
Overall I found Cathian to be a satisfying quickie of a read that is engaging, some adventure in the stars and lots of alien sexy lovin’….SUCH FUN!!

No, I didn't know that I always wanted to write. I inhaled books as a child. I read entire series (Pippi Longstocking, Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys, Trixie Beldon, The Borrowers, etc) in a matter of days at a time. By the time I was nine years old I had an adult library card where I visited often. I moved on to John Saul, Stephen King, Richard Laymon, Agatha Christie, and then found romance. I was hooked. I wrote poetry in my teens and then moved on to short stories. My first book was started after I read a real bomb of a book that ticked me off with really horrible characters and a plot that was shabby at best and I thought... I could do better. LOL.
I wrote my first book which will probably never see the light of day in the early 90's. I wrote a series of a few books from it. I'm a series fan! I kept writing for fun, wrote MANY books and then in 2009 I decided to try to get published. I wrote my first Sci Fi romance and Ral's Woman came to be. I submitted it and with a little tweaking, Ellorascave sent me an acceptance letter. It was kind of a 'Cinderella' experience for me. It's been a terrific ride so far and I'm really happy that I finally had the time to commit to writing full time. It's a dream come true.
