From New York Times Bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes a Standalone, Romantic Comedy a la Paranormal...

COLEL(Book #5, The Immortal Matchmakers, Inc. Series).

WARNING:This book contains foul language, gratuitous sex against a truck, outrageously rude immortal warriors in leather pants, snow, pigheaded gods, a sexually frustrated goddess, a very hot and hunky florist guy with a bad attitude and a big secret, Brutus bubble baths, a sneaky invisible unicorn, unrequited love, bees, bees, and more bees, and chocolates.

SOMETIMES LOVE BITES AND SOMETIMES IT STINGS.

Colel, the Goddess of Bees, has been looking for Mr. Right for over seventy thousand years. So when she meets the hunky owner of a small-town flower shop and explodes with flutters and tingles, she’s almost certain that he’s the one.

Only two problems: her tiny black-and-yellow army suddenly won’t let her anywhere near him, and…is that a freaking epinephrine pen in the fridge? “Dear gods! He’s allergic to bees? Say it isn’t so.”

If simply dating the guy will kill him, how will she ever know for sure if he’s really the one?

Colel has a solution, but it’s drastic. Even for her. And what if he says no?

Colel is part of the Immortal Matchmakers series by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. I have such a soft spot for this author, I don’t get a chance to read her as much as I would like, however, I adore her writing style and she really pulls the reader into her stories with no apologies and I love her zest that we see in her stories. Colel is such a unique PNR, and not the style that you normally see in a romance but such a refreshing one. There are technically two love stories that we see but one Colel’s story is where we find the happy ending we are looking for. (Although I can’t wait for the next book to see what happens)

Colel begins with our heroine, Colel, who is a bee mistress (or in other words the goddess of the bees) she has lived for centuries and sees to the well being of the bees in the world. Colel wants what many of her fellow friends have…true love and she wonders if she will ever find her one true mate.  She is called back into the mortal world when she discovers that there is trouble with the population of her bees and is on the hunt to discover what is happening with them. Colel is led to  a small town, where upon looking for honey for her bees, she is confronted with a beautiful sexy man who despises her but one who is also her true mate. She feels an instant connection with him but he hates her and when she learns that he is allergic to bees and that his brother died from a bee sting, she has no clue how to discover more about this mysterious man who seems to feel the same connection but isn’t open to starting anything with her. But what begins as a search in trying to find a way to happy ever after is a road that leads to disastrous pathways and Colel will have to risk everything to save her mate…

Colel was such a charming and fun romance and I got so much satisfaction in reading this novel. It has been a while since I have been this author up and every time I pick her up I wonder why I don’t read her more. Now I won’t say that this is my favorite book from this author, but quite an entertaining forbidden romance that we see develop here. My reasons for not liking this one quite as much as some of her others is the pacing. I am not sure if it was just the mood or the actual book itself, but I felt like the pacing was a bit off in the later half of the story. It was quite disappointing to be honest in some moments but I also felt so engrossed in the story that it didn’t keep me from enjoying the story itself.

We do a get a sideline love story that ends with a cliffhanger and I am assuming their story will continue in the next installment of the series. At first I was a bit confused by what was really going on, but I was able to catch on quickly though and became so intune with their story and despite how much I wanted to see them find their way to their HEA, I did like how Pamfiloff ends things with though.

The romance that develops between Colel and Rhys is quite intense in many ways and there is some angst in the fact that they are very opposite from each other. The most important is the fact that Colel is the keeper of bees, and the bees are pretty protective of her and don’t trust her new interest in Rhys. So Colel has to get pretty creative, but Rhys is really consued by everything. He feels a bond between them but he also can’t stand her love of bees which is the one thing he can’t stand to be around. But then we get some added complications and the type of complications that I never expected. Now these surprised is one of the things that I love about this author. I NEVER know how she will write a story and circumstances and developments in plots never happen in the way the reader ever suspects.

I did have a blast with this book and seeing the unique way this story developed. I grew to love both Colel and Rhys and seeing them find their much needed happy ended was so satisfying especially after we see all that these two go through, but they do find their own path in such delicious and momentus ways. I adored this book and am itching to read the previous books.

Overall I found this story to be a laugh out loud romance, its a story to take pleasure in, to entertain and liven up your mind and give you all those delicious tingles we romance readers love feeling in our romances. ADORED EVERY MOMENT
