He keeps his emotions on a tight leash, but she can see the desire burning in his eyes...

Timur Amurov has one purpose in life: protect his family at all costs. With lethal skills honed from a violent upbringing, Timur is a leopard shifter who sees any newcomers as possible threats--and the petite blond barista who his sister-in-law, Evangeline, has hired to work in her bakery is definitely hiding something. While Timur still needs to determine if Ashe is an enemy, he does know that she is the only woman whose presence has ever truly calmed the beast roaring inside of him.

Ashe Bronte is well aware she has a type: sexy, gorgeous and dangerous as hell. Despite the fact that Timur is all those things and more, Ashe is in San Antonio for reasons that do not involve getting wild with a ruthless leopard--and she cannot afford to make any mistakes. But Timur has ignited something deep within her, and even though she knows she should keep her distance, every move he makes has her craving a taste...

Leopard’s Run is the latest book in the Leopard’s People series by Feehan. This series can be a hit or miss for me at times, but I have really enjoyed the world building and the overall building of the plot of the series. Feehan doesn’t sugar coat these books, she really takes the culture of the social aspects of the Leopard’s very literally here. It has been so fun to read this series and seen it grown in the ways that it has and seeing some of my favorite characters get their own books. I had been wondering when Timur would get his book and now after reading it, I am so glad that I was able to get an ARC copy of this book because it was pretty wonderful. Not like the earlier books in the series, but a solid romance that kicks some booty.

He pressed two fingers to his eyes. Hard. Wishing he was a better man. Wishing he’d at least had the chance to be a better man. He’d been born into violence and he knew damn well he was going to go out the same way.

In Leopard’s Run, Timur Armurov is head of his brother’s security and will do anything to protect him. They are in grave danger from their family in Russia. They had been hiding under fake names that would have only protected them for a short time, but now Alonzo wants them to go freely and face whatever danger may come to them. To stop hiding and being on the run. And now Timur has a responsibility to protect his brother mate Evangeline and the peaceful life in the bakery she loves. But when she hires new help,  he is beyond furious. His job is to protect Alonzo and Evangeline and he can’t do that if they tie his hands. The woman that they hire makes his leopard calm in the first time ever. Because of the abuse he suffered when he was a child, his leopard has been hard to control but now he is calm and relaxed around Ashe.

Ashe Bronte is in need of a job and when she finds Evangeline, she is more than eager to help her out considering they have been friends and helped each other when they could. But Ashe is in danger, her parents were murdered and now they are after her as well. And she just wants a safe haven to hide in for a short time while she tries to come up with a plan, but she never imagined that she would find herself fascinated by Timur. Who seems to resent her presence but there is a powerful chemistry between them. But when both of their worlds collide, Timur will have to do everything he can to protect his family and …his mate.

I really had a fun time with this book, and I found it much more enjoyable than the previous book. I would say that it would be smart to read this following Leopard’s Fury since this features two close-knit brothers. And the heroines are good friends and I really enjoyed the way this book was written. I was a bit nervous about it to be honest because some of the more recent additions to this series haven’t been my favorite and they tend to have some darker elements at times. However, I am happy to announce that this book kicks booty!! It was simply packed with everything I have come to expect from Feehan and more. Even though Timur is super Alpha like, he is different from Ashe. I liked how considerate he is of Ashe and the relationship that builds between these two is pretty mind-blowing. The emotion that is packed in this book will pull you right in. The characters are so easy to love and wow they are really connected when the past of their families merge and mysteries are revealed and the SUSPENSE.

Now to be honest, there is always a level of intensity with a Christine Feehan novel, but I have to say that this was edge of your seat intensity and I had a blast with it. Now at first, you think that the hero here is going to be the one to save the day…..but honestly, that is just not the case. We see quite a few surprises from Ashe here that I wasn’t expecting. Of course, she has a different childhood than most girls do. Her parents were on the run and in secret and her father had to teach her how to survive….even how to fight to defend herself. And boy that training really shows and from beginning to end we see how strong Ashe is, inside and out. Despite what has happened to her parents, she is so genuine and good-hearted and has a compassionate heart. She can laugh at herself and embraces her sexuality and the intimacy between her and Timur.

I am very much in love with you, as shocking as that is to me. I want to be whatever you need.

I would like to talk about the romance between Timur and Ashe. Now I was really worried about the sexual aspects of this book, because a couple of the books in this series, I have found have really pushed my boundaries and not in a positive way. So I never know what I will find in a Feehan novel, but this book didn’t do that at all. Now I will say the sexual moments between Timur and Ashe are HOT…so keep your partner close. 🙂 But what really drives this story is the emotional intimacy between these two. They end up really being just right for each other in those small unexpected ways. These small moments are what really builds the romance to be such a powerful climax. They work so well together and when they bare themselves to each other, is where the reader begins to feel the depth and heart of this pairing.

He kissed like sin. He kissed his way straight through every guard until she was naked, vulnerable, her very soul exposed. Her body was his instantly, melting into his, soft and pliant, willing to do anything and everything he demanded.

Overall I found Leopard’s Run is a wild and crazy and laugh your heart out romance that will give you all the feels and keep you on edge with suspense and the true test of love and its endurance!! SATISFYING IN EVERY WAY!
