New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh stuns with a sizzling contemporary romance…
A bad boy wrapped in a sexy, muscled, grown-up package might be worth a little risk…
Molly Webster has always followed the rules. After an ugly scandal tore apart her childhood and made her the focus of the media’s harsh spotlight, she vowed to live an ordinary life. No fame. No impropriety. No pain. Then she meets Zachary Fox, a tattooed bad boy rocker with a voice like whiskey and sin, and a touch that could become an addiction.
A one-night stand with the hottest rock star on the planet, that’s all it was meant to be…
Fox promises scorching heat and dangerous pleasure, coaxing Molly to extend their one-night stand into a one-month fling. After that, he’ll be gone forever, his life never again intersecting with her own. Sex and sin and sensual indulgence, all with an expiration date. No ties, no regrets. Too late, Molly realizes it isn’t only her body that’s become addicted to Fox, but her heart…

Molly Webster has no inclination to involve herself with Zachary Fox. Her childhood was ripped in shreds with her father’s scandal, and she knows what the media can do do a person. She has taken years to recover from it. Molly’s sister manages the band that Fox is a part of. And when she runs into him, they have a passionate and sizzling one night stand and she never expected Zachary to extend that one night stand to a full month. They propose a plan for her to disguise herself, that won’t draw attention, but Zachary starts to show her desire and all she expects is a sensual month of pleasure, but with a expiration date, never knowing of Zachary’s true intentions. Zachary, has always wanted Molly, and when he sees her again, he means to show her what he can give her, and when things begin to get complicated, he will need to convince Molly of his true devotion and hope he can win her love and her heart…

For years I have come to admire Nalini Singh with her paranormal shifter series, and when I heard she had a new contemporary series coming out, I was unsure what it would be like. Since this story is so different from anything else she has produce. However, lately I have fallen in love with rock band romances, and when I was given the opportunity to read this and review it via netgalley and Nalini Singh, I just jumped at the chance. I probably would read anything that this author would write. Rock Addiction, is way more steamy than I expected, so I would say it leans toward erotica in some elements, but with Singh at the helm, you will have a solid plot to deal with as well. In the beginning of the story its pretty much steamy and HOT sex that will blow your mind and definitely enough heat to fog up all the windows. But from the beginning we see the hero, wanting more. The moment he sees Molly he goes after her and isn’t afraid to chase after what he wants and desires. Molly is afraid to have anything with Fox, but she starts to slowly give in and I loved the way these two came together.

The characters in the story were charming and I adored all of them. From the main characters, to the fellow band members, and Molly’s sister. They all had fun roles and their interaction in the story made the story endearing with each chapter. Zachary, was one hot rock star, he is the lead singer, and has a passion for music and women, but his devotion to Molly was so sweet sometimes. There are many times that he just sizzles with sensuality, but you start to delve deeper into his personality, and he is dedicated and passionate with every aspect in his life and holds nothing back!! Molly, well I loved her from the beginning, there was just something about her character that was like able and I had no issues with. She is the type of heroine you can easily relate with and she has such strength, willing to face public scorn again, and risk getting hurt again so that she can have a chance with Zachary. It was very interesting seeing these two hook up and try to make a relationship work. They come across a few roadblocks, and their connection to each other was intense. This story is guaranteed to leave you breathless and aching for more. BLAZING FROM BEGINNING TO END!!

About Nalini Singh

I've been writing as long as I can remember and all of my stories always held a thread of romance (even when I was writing about a prince who could shoot lasers out of his eyes). I love creating unique characters, love giving them happy endings and I even love the voices in my head. There's no other job I would rather be doing. In September 2002, when I got the call that Silhouette Desire wanted to buy my first book, Desert Warrior, it was a dream come true. I hope to continue living the dream until I keel over of old age on my keyboard.

I was born in Fiji and raised in New Zealand. I also spent three years living and working in Japan, during which time I took the chance to travel around Asia. I’m back in New Zealand now, but I’m always plotting new trips. If you’d like to see some of my travel snapshots, have a look at the Travel Diary page (updated every month).

So far, I've worked as a lawyer, a librarian, a candy factory general hand, a bank temp and an English teacher and not necessarily in that order. Some might call that inconsistency but I call it grist for the writer's mill.
