Why This Is All I Ask?
Out of all the romances that I have read over the years….this is by far still on the top of my favorites. In my mind this is one of the best works Lynn Kurland has ever written. I love everything about this story. This is a story about two people that are scarred. The hero was blinded when his wife betrayed him. Our heroine, has been severely abused by her father. They end up married to each other. At first many misunderstandings occur. Gillian is terrified and Christopher is still full of anger and frustration. But then there comes a turning point in the story, where Christopher realizes the hell that Gillian has lived. Gillian then seeks to win her husband over and thus begins a emotional roller coaster of a romance that still leaves a smile on my face. Heartwarming and poignant and a must read for romance lovers.
