Happenings of Week 7 of 2021
I don’t know even know what to say about this week y’all. It’s been so crazy at work again *sigh* At least it makes time go by fast but it’s been highly stressful and isn’t helping my blood pressure at all lol But hopefully it will slow down eventually. The Olympic games started this past week, and I am not watching it. I know I am not alone in this due to its location especially when multiple countries stepped out of it. But I did watch a Utah native “Nathan Chen” WIN the gold but not only that beat the all-time Olympic record for a male skater. I am really happy for him and our state has been super supportive of him. But this year also sucks that it was chosen in China because I love the Winter Olympics the most but I just won’t watch them this year. There is the super bowl starting today so I hope that whatever team you go for plays a good clean game! But midweek we got some bad news that my great uncle passed away. I didn’t know many of my grandparent’s siblings, but I did know this one very well. I remember we would visit their home and play cards (and yes he would change the rules during the game to win haha) and they always had soda for us kids and had this beautiful massive backyard that was beautifully well kept and they did the yard work themselves even though they had the money to hire someone. We weren’t able to go to the funeral as it’s in Idaho and I couldn’t get off work for it. But as for my reading—it was fantastic this week as I read 10 books and some really superb reads as well which is always a plus.

Sorry to hear about your great uncle. It’s never easy losing someone you care about.
But I’m so glad you had a great reading week!
I’m not watching the Winter Olympics because of the timing.
So sorry for your loss. ((HUGS)) This tax season has been no joke. I hope things calm down for you at work.
I having been watching the Olympics since I don’t have the channels that carry it. Plus, I can’t say I’m super interested. I’m sorry to hear about your loss! Glad to hear good books brought you some cheer.
I loved Mr. Perfect! Need to read more of Linda Howard’s backlist.
I am sorry to hear about the loss of your great uncle. I miss so many of my great aunts and uncles. I am old enough that that generation of my family is completely gone. I usually like it when work is busy, but not too busy. I hope that you have a great week!
Aw, I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your great-uncle, Renee. It sounds like you have some wonderful memories of him.
Nathan Chen has really been a shining star of the winter Olympics!
I’m very sorry for your loss and that you can’t make it to the funeral. It’s nice that you have such fond memories. I haven’t been watching the Olympics either. Not because of the location or anything else… But for some reason, I’m just not into it this year. I am happy for those athletes who are doing well, despite the less than ideal situations. Good luck with work and keeping your BP down.
Sympathies for the passing of your great-uncle and tough that the family can’t all gather for that. Yes, it was exciting watching Nathan Chen getting the gold. Hopefully, your hectic work will settle down. Enjoy your book haul this week, Renee!
