Happenings of Week 6 of 2021
In this past week, things have been better. We closed off the end of the first month of the YEAR. Can you believe it? Is it just me or does it feel like January is the slowest month of the year and then the rest of the year goes at warp speed?? I did feel like it took so long to get through January. My benefits for my work kick in this month so I am excited, my last job it was too expensive to afford them, but much more affordable now which is really nice and less worrisome. It was still a pretty busy week as we were getting tons of calls for ppl desiring to file their taxes. And I totally get it, I want to file mine and I will next week. My family is currently in Hawaii and no they didn’t even invite me haha but they are having fun so I am happy for them.
This week in reading has been pretty solid in some respects and I have been able to pick up some great ones. But I have been proud of myself in keeping up on reviews this week. It felt nice this weekend to being able to relax and read more instead of having to do so much blog catchup.

I’ve not read any this last week. Which is crazy for me! But I’ve been so busy with school and such. I hope to read more this week! Looks like you had a good reading week though!
It is nice to not have to catch up on reviews. I used to write my reviews as soon as possible after finishing a book, but I have let that side. Tax season is a busy one for my company too (it’s a brokerage). I am sure there will be lots of complaints regarding 1099s. Did January feel long? It was weird. Each week felt long, but the month seemed to pass quickly. I know it makes no sense, but that’s how it felt
I would be bummed if my whole family was on vacation in Hawaii and I didn’t get to go. lol. Glad they are having fun. I love February because it’s not only my birthday month, but also my dad and sister. We will be celebrating at the end of the month. My week went by quickly, and the weekend has been low key, just how I like it.
They went to Hawaii without you?!? I’d be majorly bummed out. But, glad they are having a nice time.
I read a bit this week. I’ve decided this year I’ll just go at whatever pace my reading mood will set, and so far it’s been going well. I finished two books so far and I’m close to finishing a third. So far my favorite book has been The Highlander by Kerrigan Byrne. I agree – January is crazy slow and then the rest of the months are just a blur. Have a great week ❤️
Bummer! They went to Hawaii without you. Such a pity. I see you had a great reading month.
Glad to hear you have benefits kicking in. It’s a nice perk. I really enjoy RaeAnneThayne and hadn’t noticed A Cold Creek Homecoming. I’ll have to check it out. Loved Mr. Perfect by Linda Howard, but I read it a few years back. Hope you enjoy it, Renee! 🙂
Nice to have your better benefits now and ready to get your taxes done. Ahhhh, fun for your family. Hope they bring you back something nice. 🙂
Glad you had a quiet week to get caught up on reviews and get in some good reading.
Have a good week, Renee!
Relaxinga nd reading more is the perfect week! And too bad for Hawaii!
I hope to make it to Hawaii someday. I am so glad that your benefits kicked in. Really, benefits are the main reason we work. I hope that you are having a great week!
No trip to Hawaii must have been a bummer but so happy you’ve got some reading done and feel more relaxed! 🙂 My fave read in the past week or so is Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood. It’s not out until August but her debut, The Love Hypothesis, came out last year and is one of my top ten books for 2021.
