Happenings of Week 22 of 2022
This past week has been kind of crazy in the world right now, and honestly, I have been hiding in my pillows, with a cup of tea and my books. And only been mildly involved in social media because yeah tensions have been high as I am sure you all have seen. All I am going to say is my heart and prayers are with TEXAS. So onto happier things, this week has been another solid reading week, and yes my reading surge has not gone away at all. I did suffer from an oral infection last weekend though and I have had a chipmunk style swollen mouth for a week, but my work has been really understanding about it not making me take calls but working our queues. So I have been able to get some audiobooks to read a lot this week and it has been kinda nice too to have a break from being on calls all day (not that they are bad most of the time) so I have had a mixed week for sure. But I am recovering and healing and I should be ready to work on Tuesday and enjoy my long weekend. I will probably go see the new Top Gun movie (I hear its amazing) and just get caught up on some blog stuff and get some reading done, as we are almost done with another month and it looks like I might make 50 books read this month (people…I can’t remember the LAST time I read that many books in a month, my average is 30-40 but never 50) but if you have been paying attention the past few weeks my reading has skyrocketed like crazy.

Hope the mouth is feeling better, and that’s awesome that you were able to get some time off the phones. Your reading is insane, but it looks like you are finding books that really work for you too.
Ah, bummer about your sore mouth. Hope it is doing better. Fifty is an amazing number for a monthly reading total. I can’t remember the last time I hit it. Probably back in a winter month. Getting to an oldie with that Larissa Ione.
Happy Memorial Day and have a good week, Renee!
I’m glad you were able to keep up the reading despite the sore mouth. I hope it’s better! Did you read Larissa Ione’s Demonica series? These books fit into the middle of that series – which is a good one! I hope you enjoy.
Ouch. The oral infections sounds like no fun. I hope that’s cleared up. I can’t even comprehend 50 books in a month… I average about 10. LOL
