Happenings of Week 21 of 2022
This past week has been such a great reading week, I can’t remember the last week I had such a great reading week. I have read 14 BOOKS!! Like I have no idea how its happened, but I have picked up some great page-turners and even with a couple of slow reads, I have still been able to read a ton. I have listened to 3 audiobooks though which really helps in those numbers. But I just love being able to get back into reading again and to also read so much feels so rejuvenating for me. And it’s really helping make up for a couple of low months in March and April and I hope my reading streak continues. I have been trying to rotate out the sub-genres which is keeping the reading fresh and trying to pick authors that have highly engaging writing. But I also picked up some books that will be my top favorites of the year. But even with the highs of my reading, I had some lows including my first DNF (and I was so sad about it). But non-book-related —we got SNOW this weekend. Like all week 70-80 degree weather, just perfect spring temps. But then the weekend our temps dropped 30 degrees and we got snow, but at least it didn’t stick to the ground but still. Oh, the joys of living in the rocky mountains in spring.

My current audio is the Stephanie Laurens, I have been wanting to read this for a couple of years (and yes the cover is so wintery and it does take place with a winter setting) and its cute so far. Already 50% in and some fun matchmaking from the Cynster kids. Golden Eyes is a PNR, and my ebook to kick off the week with, and I have been wanting to work through Maya Banks’ backlisted books. My random wheel had me grabbing up a fantasy, so I decided to go with Dagger Star, and very excited to get back to this author. I am also trying my FIRST Chanel Cleeton (can you believe I am so behind on reading this series–its book three I am the most stoked for though). Have you read any of these books yet?

Looks like you got a few romance novels read last week! Have another good reading week.
14 BOOKS!! I can’t just believe the numbers. I am so glad you had a great reading week, but honestly, I am just jealous. I hope this just triggers my reading spirit and I read more than my usual 1 book per week. I hope you have a great week ahead.
I need to move to the mountains! Your weather sounds great! Last week parts of Oklahoma hit over 100.
Snow in May! That reminds me of when I used to live in northern Maine. 14 books is amazing! Have a great week.
I think I fell twice from my chair Renee! Once after reading that you had read 14 books in one week and the second time when you said you got snow in May!
Wow 14 books this week! Thats crazy! I haven’t been able to find the time, but hopefully soon. And I saw pictures of snow in Colorado too. It’s almost June!
You had such a good week. I loved Saved by a Rancher by Jennifer Ryan. I just reread that not so long ago. I can’t wait to see what next week brings.
14 books! Wow that’s awesome. And snow too? At least it didn’t stick around. It’s been mostly raining here but I’m ready for summertime.
Snow in May, why not. LOL Wow, 14 books is amazing and so glad you’ve really been enjoying your reading time lately. I enjoyed that Flying Aces Chanel Cleeton trilogy.
Have a good week, Renee!
14 books is awesome!
Always practice Safe hex was a great book. I hope you like it too.
I think I would cry if it snowed now. I hate the stuff, though, I am not too keen about the super hot weather either. Love that you are on a reading streak. Those numbers are crazy!
I saw the snow on the news – yikes! Congrats on finishing 14 books. I think the most I’ve finished in one week would be three. Normally it takes me two weeks to finish a book!
Ack! I added a comment here when the post came out, but it didn’t register I guess. Anyways, I love Chanel Cleeton’s Flying Aces series, the 2nd and 3rd more than the first. More than her historical fiction, but I guess I’m in the minority there as everyone seems to love her newer series.
