Happenings of Week 20 of 2022
This week has been such an interesting one. We finally got past the bipolar weather and got lots of warm days which I am all for. I don’t know about y’all but I am more than ready for the sunny weather and less of the cold dreary days. This winter has felt so LONG!! I am continuing to work from home and I am really loving it. Its so much more relaxing. I was also able to keep on top with my reading and more. It was such a solid week. Last Sunday was Mother’s Day, I hope you all had a wonderfully blessed day, I was able to spend it with my mama, my brother got ENGAGED and we had a nice dinner of homemade ribs, cheese fries, peas with cream, and a special Jello dessert (We are Utahn’s after all and live by our Jello concoctions haha). So it was such a nice week and I did try my best to stay on top of blog posts and reviews and commenting every single day, I have been trying to be more balanced where that is concerned. I feel like I have been neglecting you all. My reading this week was pretty solid and got a great blend of reading. And we started off our weekend with some detail cleaning and got our carpets cleaned (I have been begging my landlord to get this done for over a year and man I love it even though our apartment is so humid I feel like I am back in Texas again haha)

My audiobook for the week will be Summer at the Cape and I will be starting it today and I am super excited!!! And isn’t this cover just making you ready for Summer??!! Its been a while since I have read a beach read. Fires of Winter I saw on my Libby Catalog and I am super thrilled because I read the sample and I was SO into it, so I hope its a fun medieval. And isn’t the cover scream medieval romance?!! My random wheel had me choose a new adult and dark romance for my next reads. I have really fallen behind on the Forbidden Men series and jumping into Worth it. Heavy Crown is the FINALE of the Brutal Birthright series.

Congratulations to your brother! That is exciting! It sounds like you were able to get a lot done this past week. I need to do some extra spring (or maybe summer) cleaning done. I hope that you have a wonderful week!
Sounds like a wonderful Mother’s Day – fun! I’m glad you are enjoying working from home. I continue to work from home as well and love all the perks. This weekend I read As Seen on TV by Meredith Schorr (June 7, Forever) and it was so cute. It was the anti-Hallmark movie book that is a Hallmark Movie book! lol.
Don’t feel bad Renee I feel like I have been neglecting you all too! Also I had no idea Utah mimicked UK with jello LOL
Congratulations to your brother! And now I’m going to have to look up Utah jello recipes! My Sunday post: https://bonniereadsandwrites.wordpress.com/2022/05/15/sunday-post-4/
Glad it was a good week and congrats on your brother’s engagement! Same here with the weather- it finally warmed up and I’m here for it. 🙂
I’ve heard good things about the KA Tucker books.
That’s so exciting for your brother! Congrats! I’d take colder weather over the 90’s with heat index near the 100’s lol. It’s been crazy hot! I just want some nice 70’s!
Congrats to your brother! I love cheese fries! I think the only time I have jello is when I am sick.
My romance reads are mainly romantic comedies, as there are so many being written now. Have a good reading week.
I enjoy rom coms these days.
Our temps shot right into the eighties this week from the forties and fifties. Guess we’re warming up now. LOL Neat that you got your rugs and details done finally. Getting a nice collection of books and I like Leigh Greenwood’s series, too, though I haven’t read them all. Glad you got to celebrate your brother’s betrothal and enjoy family dinner.
Have a great week, Renee!
Your week sounds amazing. Even if I was a fall baby, I am still made for summer. I work from home and love it as well. I hope you get to continue. Right now with three little ones home it isn’t exactly peaceful, but the Royals will both be in school full time in August and I am looking forward to quieter routines.
We had biopolar weather last week. In the 60’s on Monday and in the upper 90’s yesterday and today. Should be better this coming week – upper 80’s most of the week.
Hmm, I vote for a bit of both – sunny and cool. You know what they say, there’s always room for jello. When I was growing up, my Oma had a thing for the jello with the fruit in it, so I ate quite a bit of that. Good times. What fun to celebrate mom and your brother’s engagement. I have a hold for Summer at the Cape. I think it will a great one. Hope you enjoy it!
Sounds like a great Mother’s Day on your end. And congrats to your brother on his engagement! That’s very exciting. The Mother’s Day meal has me drooling. 🙂
