Happenings of Week 19 of 2022
This has been such a powerhouse of reading for me. And it feels so good to be back into reading again, I just want to read all the time and it feels AMAZING. It was so hard for me in March and April and I have discovered so many reads here as well. Today is Mother’s Day so I hope its a wonderful day for you with your loved ones. There are also a ton of readathons happening right now. So if you love readathon’s I know the Mafia ReadAThon is happening right now, and then this upcoming week will be the Historical Romance Readathon. I, unfortunately, am not participating. Every time I have in recent years I go into bad book slumps. But I was able to read a mafia romance this weekend and it was fantastic. I do plan on reading some historical’s this week, just not as many as I normally would. But if you are participating, I hope you are having a blast. This past week both my reading and blogging have been so strong. I read 10 books (which is great for me) and some of these were big tomes like 500-600 pages many of them so I was on a roll haha and I have also been working at keeping up on book reviews and posts this week and be more consistent.

My audiobook for the week will probably be Hunt The Stars—I will be honest I just wasn’t in the mood this past week to do a audio listen, I was too involved in my physical reading but will be working on this one this week. I will be buddy reading Wicked Beauty by Katee Robert with Angie who runs “Books and Beauty Are My Bag”. I am really excited for this one, as I hear its fantastic and its a menage and I haven’t read one of those in a while. And I am loving this world she has created. Then Wicked Ties is a physical book I have had on my shelf I think for like three years haha and I have been wanting to work through the physical books I have and also I have been wanting to read more of the classy version of erotic romance. Blood Laws is the first book in another PNR series by this author and I am really excited!!

You had an impressive reading week. I wish I could read as many books you did in a week. Wow! girl you are my hero when it comes to reading, ?
Wow! Ten books in one week. That’s amazing. More than one book a day. I can’t do that.
10 books a week????? I am happy when I read 2 or 3 LOL But I am glad that your reading slump has ended!
I am loving the Olympus books from Katee Robert as well. So good!! I can’t do readathons with a theme. The moment I am told which books to read I suddenly want to read NONE of those. Its my curse.
Wow you are on a roll! I’ve always thought the Tucker books looked fun, and I liked the Jessie Mihalik book I read.
10 books is great. I’ve been reading a lot lately too.
Glad to hear you loved A Simple Wild! It’s one of my all-time favs! Sounds like you had a wonderful reading month!
Wow! That is so impressive. I read a book in about 10-12 days! Oh, and I’ve been meaning to pick up Hunt the Stars in audio, thanks for the reminder!
Hooray for having your reading mojo back! Ten books in a week is just… wow. I usually average about 10 books in a month. LOL
I had a few really excellent reads in the first week of May. The two that stood out the most were definitely The No-Show by Beth O’Leary (I absolutely adore her books and this was no exception) and Defy the Night by Brigid Kemmerer. I look forward to reading A Simple Wild in the future. It’s been recommended to me so many times!
You’re definitely in the zone with your reading! So happy to see you loved The Simple Wild–I adore that series. My last two books have been quite good: Starry-Eyed Love and Immortal Rising. So I’m hoping The Bodyguard by Katherine Center will live up to the hype as I’m starting that next. Continued Happy Reading to you!! 🙂
Glad your reading was on fire this past week. I do readathons, but I’m picky to do those that match my interests and don’t require a specific amount of books. Enjoy your buddy read with Angie. We had a nice relaxing mother’s day here.
Have a great week, Renee!
I’m going to be interested in hearing if you enjoy Robert’s book. Sounds like you had a great reading week last week!
Yay so glad you’ve got your book groove on. I just love Tucker’s Simple Alaska series.
Oh wow! I wish that I could read that much! I really liked Hunt the Stars and am very curious about Wicked Beauty. I hope that you have had a good week!
