Happenings of Week 14 of 2022
This week has been such an interesting one, I was able to receive my tax return, so I indulged in replacing my old monitor and also getting new speakers and headphones (Bose) as I am tired of my apple ones and wanted some nice quality sound especially since I am either listening to audiobooks, music or asmr at night to sleep. And they were so well worth the price. I also bought some new books as well and saving the rest as I want to get a new computer tower (my current one is ten years old and so want to get it replaced soon because I am terrified that it will be crashing any time haha and plus I found a super nice one that matches my monitors). I also got a promotion at my job (yay) I don’t know yet how much of a raise it will be, but with inflation, anything will help. And with my health issues, my boss said I had the green light to work from home. I probably won’t do it full time, just a few days a week and then go into work at least 1-2 days a week. I don’t know if mentally I can handle just working from home 100%. Even though my desk space is much nicer than what I have at work, I also don’t want to feel so closed off and have my home feel more like a prison ya know? My reading was a little bit better this week which I am happy about. I can’t believe its the start of April already. Can you believe how much March flew by? There are some fun things I am looking forward to here though. It’s the start of a new month which is always so fun. I just love starting a new month and we are getting warmer weather now although our nights are still cold.
I also mentioned last week that I wanted to share my desk space with you all and I got a good response for it so now you can see the vibe I work with when I am blogging

Current Reads
I really am enjoying my current reads, I just started The Warrior Maiden, and really enjoying the Mulan Retelling. I was supposed to have listened to this before the end of March for my fairytale retelling reading challenge (oops) but I will read two in April so I don’t get behind. Do you like Mulan retellings? Have any recommendations for me? I am so stoked for the ARC of Kerrelyn Sparks, I haven’t read a fantasy in a while. I am getting back to Sophie Lark, this series hasn’t worked well for me, but I do want to read more of her work as I just love her and her hubby as people (check out their instagram, they are like my dream couple). And then I just have to mix it up with some Aja James because I need some PNR in my life. Now that I am getting back to reading again, I am working towards rotating out the genres, I am trying to read less contemporary as I have read a ton of those lately and need to balance it out.

Congratulations on the promotion. What wonderful news! I am with you. I like going into the office part of the time. Unfortunately, they won’t entertain any questions about a hybrid schedule until everyone is back to office (whenever that is). Enjoy your nice new set up
Congrats on the promotion!!! How exciting! And your workspace is just so pretty! I love it!
And, yes, March FLEW. I feel like this whole year is flying, if I’m being honest.
Sounds like an all around better week and yay for the promotion. Lovely and relaxing desk area. I like your idea of rotating between genres for your reading plan. Have a good week, Renee!
Congratulations on your promotion! And I listen to so many audiobooks that I invested in noise cancelling headphones from Sony! Worth every penny!
Congratulations on being promoted! I have Bose headphones that I absolutely love. As many hours and I use them, it has been a good investment. I am reading and enjoying When a Princess Proposes right now.
YEA!! What great news this past week. Congrats on the promotion and that your work recognizes the importance of a healthy employee! I have to turn in my taxes this week. I’ll be putting it all away to pay for my son’s school – he’ll be a freshman in college this fall!
