This meme was once hosted at Buried Under Romance and Love Saves The World, and hasn’t been active for a while now. So I decided since I have a fierce love for historical romance, to start it up again. Anyone is welcome to join in if you like because I would love to see your pick of the week for a throwback historical romance that you loved!!
What is Throwback Thursday?
Traditionally, Throwback Thursday celebrates nostalgia, asking participants to post a personal photo or an image from their past — usually from 5 to 10 years ago. There are a lot of book blogs that also do a book-related Throwback Thursday.
The Historical Romance Edition:
Since Tin from Love Saves The World, Mary from Buried Under Romance, are fans of historical romance, this is a way to honor our favorite genre.
Here are our rules:
1. It must be posted on a Thursday. 2. It must be a historical romance novel published before October 3, 2008
She was trouble—He was ready. . .
The lone survivor of a Comanche attack, young widow Garnet Scott races after her last hope of staying alive on her journey west–Flint MacKenzie. A rough and rugges loner, Fling has made it clear that no woman travels with him–not even a flame-haired beauty like the Widow Scott. But Garnet has other plans. She knew the moment she looked into his mesmerizing blue eyes that she’d met her destiny. . .
When Garnet catches up with Flint he is furious. He doesn’t need to be saddled with a helpless woman in mountains filled with snakes, wild animals, and Comanches. But Flint soon learns that Garnet is no ordinary woman. Her spunky grit saves his life, and her fierce independence and hot passion send his senses reeling. . . leaving no doubt that he too has found love’s destiny.
Why “Flint”?
This is such a great author and I LOVE this book so much,. If you are a big fan of historical westerns, this is a book you NEED in your life., Fabulous characters, in depth plot and a romance to die for.,
