Tea and Biscuits: Finally Fall Book Tag

by | Oct 16, 2017 | Tea and Biscuits Discussions | 12 comments

There is so much to love about fall, and even though I am in Texas now instead of Utah (where Fall is just gorgeous) I love the cooler weather, I love being surrounded by pumpkins and baked apples and the whole feel of fall. It just gives me the happy feels. I found this tag at An Infinite Book World and so excited to share my picks.

In fall, the air is crisp and clear: name a book with a vivid setting!

There is something very unique about this book, but this story has such a clear and crisp setting (like all of Wilson’s novels) however this novel is so special to me and the author really makes this story come alive with vivid details.

Nature is beautiful… but also dying: name a book that is beautifully written, but also deals with a heavy topic like loss or grief.

There is so much to adore about On Dublin Street. What I love about this book is that is so heart wrenching, emotional but simple fabulous. This is definitely a tear jerker but in all the good ways you want a romance novel to feel. If only every book I read evoked what this book did for me my first time reading it.

Fall is back to school season: share a non-fiction book that taught you something new.

I have tried to be healthy (for the most part) ever since I became an adult. I have been fascinated about what our bodies are capable of. But when I picked this book up I realized I didn’t really know that much. This gal teaches you so much about food and nutrition and about the human body and what it really needs to thrive to its fullest capacity. Besides the pictures in this book makes you just want to grab every fruit and veggie in site and make your own delicious creations. I also love how she makes food sound and look so yummy. That being healthy doesn’t mean you sacrifice everything you love about eating. It just takes more work.

This book is simply wonderful. It has tons of ideas for cooking, cleaning, health and welness and stuff for kids even on living on a short budget and making your own “things” per say instead of just buying it. I love this lady too. She has so many creative ways to save money and still live the good life. So she has ideas from make your own baby wipes, jewely cleaning, floor cleaner, body scrubs, burn salve solution, bread and cake recipes and more!! Its a great way to use these ideas so you can spend your hard yearned money on something more special than house cleaners and food.

In order to keep warm, it’s good to spend some time with the people we love: name a fictional family/household/friend-group that you’d like to be a part of.

Throughout all my years of reading romance since I was fifteen, I have read many family and group of friends that make me wish I was a part of, but the one group has always stood out to be and that is the Cynsters. Now this is a big family of lots of cousins, aunt and uncles and they are a very close knit group and I love them. I only have a handful of cousins, and they live in Canada and I rarely get to see them. And there has always been something so unique about the Cynster family that I love reading. This author has done a great job with building a family to love, to engage in and wish were reality instead of fictional.

Fall is the perfect time for some storytelling by the fireside: share a book wherein somebody is telling a story.

Mainstream romance rarely tells a story, in fact they are very rare to find. The one that I loved that I could name at the top of my head is The Three Gifts of Christmas. Its a Christian themed romance written by a LDS author and is pretty fantastic. It starts off with a young woman, Amanda, who goes off to Australia when she learns her grandmother is sick andis on her death bed. The grandmother tells her story of loss and grief but also of finding her true love. This is a beautiful if not heart wrenching read.

The nights are getting darker: share a dark, creepy read.

This book gives you the chills and the thrills and is pefect if you are looking for a sexy yet spooky romance!!

The days are getting colder: name a short, heartwarming read that could warm up somebody’s cold and rainy day.

I honestly can’t give enough love about this novella. Its probably one of the best this author has ever written. Its short and sweet and sexy and a fabulous romance.

Fall (luckily, it’s my favourite season) returns every year: name an old favourite that you’d like to return to soon.

This is one of those books (for some reason) I don’t own but love. Its a classic, and probably one of the best books this author has written. It has such a tender and sweet feel with a good mystery and a some points for suspense.

Fall is the perfect time for cozy reading nights: share your favourite cozy reading “accessories”!

I would have to say a warm cup of apple cider, with my afghan and a wood fire burning.

Spread the autumn appreciation and tag some people!

Anyone who loves to read and love the fall season!!

What a great list! Nalini Singh and Stephanie Laurens are two favorites for sure. I still need to try C.L. Wilson–it looks SO good!

Oh my gosh, what a fun tag! I think I’m going to do this this week. I really need to read those books by CL Wilson. You’ve recommended them to me as well as some other people. I’ve never read Woodiwiss. I’m a little afraid to, because I’m afraid it might be a bit rapey.

It is a pretty fun tag, and I hope you join in because I am eager to see what you choices would be here!! I definitely know you would enjoy Wilson’s books, although they are long.

The only book I think you would like of Woodiwiss is the one I listed here. Its her most tamest book ever, and pretty light considering what her other books deal with. So if you were ever curious about her, this book would be for you to try out.

We had a slightly cooler week last week so I took advantage of it going for walks every morning. Back to normal FL humidity this week unfortunately.

I did buy my pumpkins though!
