Tea and Biscuits Book Discussions: Top Winter Reads

Tea and Biscuits Book Discussions is a feature that Addicted To Romance features every Monday where we talk books, blogging and reading issues. This week I would like to discuss the best winter reads, as spring is coming up soon I want to talk about the best books I read the past few months.

This was my first time reading Rock Chick and I have no clue why I waited so long to pick up this series, this was my first time into this series and I LOVED it. Such a page turner, fun antics, well written suspense and swoon worthy romance.

This was such a good book and I loved the emotion and the situation that this book is set up with. It shows the truth behind small towns and how “old school” their viewpoints are and how self righteous many of them are. I liked seeing such strength and growth in these characters and seeing their beautiful story unfold.

This book was SO SO GOOD!! I love this author so much, and I was nervous about this book because there were so many mixed reviews surrounding this book, however, I am thrilled to say that it was a five star book and a top pick for 2018 and a great way to finish the year off. It is perfect as a winter read because of the winter like setting that it has. There was such vibrant chemistry in this book and I can’t recommend this book enough.

I had a blast with this book and is the BEST of the series so far. I just loved seeing these two come together, and despite the conflict, it proved to be so well written and Roni Loren did a great job with it.

I love this author and she did a great job switching to contemporary/romantic suspense since previously she has always done medieval historicals. But I really loved the set up of this series and the intense suspense that is portrayed. I am curious to see where this author will take this series and I can’t wait to read more!!

Scandal Never Sleeps is a fantastic book and I just love what these two authors have created together. I LOVE a good friendship whether its with men or women, and in this case its a friendship bond between six men. All powerful and wealthy and well establish men who have helped each other succeed. But this series is about a plot to bring them down and they have to learn who their enemy is and how to defeat them. SUPERB

I LOVED this book so much, just as much as the first book!! I love the secret baby trope that is done here (very well done on it) and we have some great moments of intrigue and suspense and then of course we have the sexy elements that only Feehan can write so well. She is great at writing contemporary and these books are so well done.

I was nervous about this book, because I enjoyed The Kiss Quotient and I didn’t know if a debut author could make the second book just as good, but I am pleased to say that this book was BETTER than book one. I just LOVED this book so much, so well written and much more engaging than the previous book even.

I have adored this dark series by Tillie Cole “Hades Hangmen” and this book is my favorite of the series so far. This series is amazing, but what I love is that its the background elements that are dark and the romantic relationships are so sweet and tender. This romance was excellent and I loved every moment of it.

This book was FANTASTIC, and even though some of the description and a bit of the dialogue could have been improved, I really loved the fated love set up that we have here and so well written especially with how the book is set up. I can’t wait to see how Linda Kage develops this epic fantasy series.

I ADORED this book so much, I can’t help but show how much love I have for this story and so WELL DONE by Eva Leigh. There was a big controversary in the romancelandia on Twitter, and I was so curious and I have to say I loved how this story was written!!

This book was so so wonderful and one of my favorites from this author. I just loved seeing these two come together….a romance of unrequited love, emotional growth and saving a little boy being abused. SO SO GOOD!!!

This is one of the best books I have read from this series in a long while, I loved the love triangle that we are introduced too, the exotic island setting, pirates and lots of barrels of laughs.

Tattered was SO SO good, I loved this second chance romance and the secret baby trope and the beautiful mountain setting was very well done. Devney Perry is becoming a favorite of mine.

This book was so packed with emotion, a virgin hero and a heroine fighting to survive against the demons infecting her and I loved seeing these two find such a poignant love together.
