Tea And Biscuits Book Discussions: Christmas Book List

by | Dec 7, 2015 | Tea and Biscuits Discussions | 20 comments

So today I wanted to share with y’all my Christmas Book list and what I would love dear ole’ Santa to give me.Β

The Closer You ComeNew York Times bestselling author Gena Showalter introduces the Original Heartbreakers, where three not-quite-reformed bad boys are about to meet the women who will bring them to their knees.

Just released from prison, Jase Hollister has a dark and twisted past. And now, he has only one goal: stay out of trouble. Strawberry Valley, Oklahoma, sounds like the perfect place for him and his two brothers-by-circumstance to settle down and live a nice, simple life. But model citizen isn’t exactly this rugged bachelor’s default settingβ€”especially when it comes to a certain hot-blooded Southern beauty…

Brook Lynn Dillon has always been responsible. Not that it’s done her much good. The down-on-her-luck waitress is broke, single and fun-deprived. Until Jase comes along. He is dangerous, stunningly protective, breathtakingly sexy and as tempting as sin, and the passion sizzling between them is undeniable. But can it melt her resistance? After all, the right kind of trouble might be just what they both need.

The Prince of LoveThe youngest of the four princes, Sorin, has waited for the time he could search out his mate. Now it’s his time to due his duty, a duty he refuses to fail at. Not even the magical Tnarg’s who are trying to kill his mate will stand in his way. But the Tnarg is one step ahead of him. Sorin has little time to convince his mate of what he is and where he comes from. Will the unmistakable attraction they share be enough to convince her to leave all that she knows for a magical kingdom?

Katrina feared she’d never find a man who held her interest. Until she meets Sorin. He’s charismatic, dangerous, and handsome as sin. She feels alive when she’s with him, as if she’s been waiting for him her entire life. Katrina knows they’re meant to be together, but can the love she feels growing in her heart be enough to leave her family behind forever?

Honey and the Hired HandA taste of honey…

When a mysterious drifter appeared at Honey Farrell’s ranch, willing to work for room and board, the wary widow had to hire him. Tall, dark and grouchy, Jesse Whitelaw could scare away the lurking cattle rustlers with one growl. And Honey’s sons could sure use a man around. Still, there was something mighty suspicious about the cowboy….

Jesse hated lying about who he really was, yet he had to keep his cover–and the Farrells–safe. But who knew that somewhere between fixing fences and secret meetings, he’d teach a teenage boy how to be a man … or that with one wet kiss he’d remind a brokenhearted woman what it meant to love again? Or that, when the truth came out, he’d lose everything?

Red Wolf's PrizeMedieval romance at its best!” –Virginia Henley, NY Times bestselling author.

#1 on Amazon’s Top 100 Medieval Romances and WINNER of the 2015 RONE Award for Best Historical Novel in the medieval category!

HE WOULD NOT BE DENIED HIS PRIZE

Sir Renaud de Pierrepont, the Norman knight known as the Red Wolf for the beast he slayed with his bare hands, hoped to gain lands with his sword. A year after the Conquest, King William rewards his favored knight with Talisand, the lands of an English thegn slain at Hastings, and orders him to wed the heiress that goes with them, Lady Serena.

SHE WOULD LOVE HIM AGAINST HER WILL

Serena wants nothing to do with the fierce warrior to whom she has been unwillingly given, the knight who may have killed her father. When she learns the Red Wolf is coming to claim her, she dyes her flaxen hair brown and flees, disguised as a servant, determined to one day regain her lands. But her escape goes awry and she is brought back to live among her people, though not unnoticed by the new Norman lord.

Deprived of his promised bride, the Red Wolf turns his attention to the comely servant girl hoping to woo her to his bed. But the wench resists, claiming she hates all Normans.

As the passion between them rises, Serena wonders, can she deny the Norman her body? Or her heart?

Master of CrowsWhat would you do to win your freedom? This is the question that sets bondwoman, Martise of Asher, on a dangerous path. In exchange for her freedom, she bargains with her masters, the mage-priests of Conclave, to spy on the renegade sorcerer, Silhara of Neith. The priests want Martise to expose the sorcerer’s treachery and turn him over to Conclave justice. A risky endeavor, but one she accepts without hesitation–until she falls in love with her intended target.

Silhara of Neith, Master of Crows, is a desperate man. The god called Corruption invades his mind, seducing him with promises of limitless power if he will help it gain dominion over the world. Silhara struggles against Corruption’s influence and searches for ways to destroy the god. When Conclave sends Martise as an apprentice to help him, he knows she’s a spy. Now he fights a war on two fronts–against the god who would possess him and the apprentice who would betray him.

Mage and spy search together for a ritual that will annihilate Corruption, but in doing so, they discover secrets about each other that may damn them both. Silhara must decide if his fate, and the fate of nations, is worth the soul of the woman he has come to love, and Martise must choose continued enslavement or freedom at the cost of a man’s life. And love.

Of Blood and PassionThey call her the last sorceress: Quinn Lennox, the only hope of the vampires who are trapped in Vamp City watching their dark otherworld slowly die. But an ancient curse shackles the magic Quinn needs to save not only the vampires she’s come to call friends, come to care for, come to love, but her beloved brother as well.

Arturo Mazza, the ruthless vampire who once betrayed Quinn, and has since waged a steady and relentless war upon her heart, vows to help her break the curse. But when the mission requires them to face Cristoff Gonzagaβ€”the brutal and vicious vampire to whom Arturo once pledged undying fealtyβ€”Quinn must find a trust in Arturo that will test the very foundations of her soul.

Great list right? It was pretty difficult narrowing it down but we can’t have Santa burdened with too many books.

You picked out some nice fiery reads. Perfect for all those cold winter nights, right? I haven’t really thought too much about what I want yet. I have so many ARCS I am trying to get through first.

Yeah I try to balance out my ARC’s, my library books and the books I own that are sitting on my shelf gathering dust. So I don’t request as many ARC’s as I used to.

Master of Crows is on my wishlist, but it didn’t make my Christmas list. I put the latest Tasha Alexander, Charles Finch, Marissa Meyer, Jennifer Armentrout, Diana Gabaldon, Anne Perry, and a few Rosanne Bittners on my list.

Oh those are fantastic authors to have on your list!!! Love love LOVE Rosanne Bittner. I have been tempted to read Gabaldon’s series….but those books are huge and I am not sure how I feel about how the series has progressed. One day though I will. Marissa Meyer is a good choice as well as Jennifer Armentrout.

I want to read Grace Draven so badly! I’ve heard so many people rave about her. Pamela Palmer is really good though I haven’t read her vampire series yet.

you haven’t read her yet??? Such a shame hehe I loved her. I read her at the beginning of the year, and it was one of the best books I have ever read. So I would really recommend you read her. Palmer is fantastic, and I love this vampire trilogy. I am interested to see what she comes up with next.
