Tea and Biscuits Book Discussion: Top Summer Releases You Can Look Forward TO

by | Apr 24, 2017 | Tea and Biscuits Discussions | 27 comments

Now that it is drawing closer to summer time, it gets closer to those summer book releases. And there are so many that I am looking forward to. I love these authors. Here is a list of what I am looking forward and books that I have been anticipating for quite some time.

Addicted To The Duke by Bronwen Evans

A new and exciting start to a new and stunning series. I know I have said this before, but this author is simply fantastic!! I love her work especially in how she develops her plots while not under or overwhelming the love story.

The Highland Commander by Amy Jarecki

First off this author is a treasure when reading historical romance, she just makes history come alive for the reader. I just love seeing how she writes her stories and does fabulous when it comes to writing a good romance.

Kiss My Boots by Harper Sloane

I am currently reading the first book and man I can’t wait for this book now!!! This author is fantastic. This is Quinn’s story, and she is such a big impacting character in book one, and eager to see her get her HEA.

A Momentary Marriage by Candace Camp

The first book was wonderful, and so now I can’t wait to read the continuation of these wonderful character especially by a author I love to read especially when it comes to regency era romance.  A hero that needs to find a cure for a disease he may die from, and a pragmatic and independent heroine.

The Pleasures Of Passion by Sabrina Jeffries

Oh I can hardly wait to pick this one up. I love this author so much, and with this series I swear each book is better than the previous one. And I do love those fake engagement tropes and eager to see how she handles it.

Blackthorne’s Bride by Joan Johnston

I recently was given the ARC here and just read it and LOVED it so much and definitely met all my expectations. This is the fourth book by this historical series Johnston has been extending herself with. She normally does contemporary romances (and writes the best rival family romances ever) This series is based on a family of orphans who end up separated and find love along the way. This story is about a young woman who was taken by Indians and after being severly beaten and whipped, a Englishman saves her and takes her back with him to England. I loved seeing Johnston do something completely different and switch from western themed to a regency—was NOT expecting her to do that or write a story so dang good. So I highly recommend y’all try that one out this summer.

The Laird Takes A Bride by Lisa Berne

Even though book one wasn’t all out five star romance, I really enjoyed the book but there was one character in book one that fascinated me and he is the hero for this upcoming book. And honestly I can’t resist a sexy Scot and I know he is going to be highly lively.

Can’t Hardly Breathe by Gena Showalter

This series has been fantastic to read and I CAN’T wait to pick this one up!!!

Escape To You by Jennifer Ryan

oh I love a plot like this one, and Jennifer Ryan is an author I know I will always love. Her writing is so emotionally portrayed and I love that.

Baaahhhh, I can’t think of a single summer romance novel that I’m looking forward to read! Most are Fall (September, October, November). Soooo many Fall books. I will be on the lookout for Addicted to the Duke and The Highland Commander though!

Have a wonderful week., Renee =)

Nice list. I didn’t know about some of those. I do want to read the Amy jarecki too. I think my most anticipateds are Nalini Singh’s Silver Silence, a couple Rebecca Zanettis and Carolyn Brown’s Strawberry Diner. There are likely more, but those are the ones off the top of my head. 🙂
