I am late to the party of this tag but I feel like its good to reflect on the year of reading so far. And as I have been on hiatus, I think it will be good to showcase all the books I have been able to read, both loved and hated.

Best Book You’ve Read So Far in 2021

I simply adored this book so much, everything about it was perfection, It just worked for me completely in every way.

Best Sequel You’ve Read So Far in 2021

This was a powerhouse of a read, and I can’t believe that it was much better than book one (which I LOVED) but this one surprised me so well.

New Release You Haven’t Read, but Want to?

Most Anticipated release for Second Half of 2021

Biggest Disappointment?

I had so many expectations from this book and it just didn’t work out for me the way I expected or desired.

Biggest Surprise?

I was so delightfully surprised in how much I LOVED this book so much. Normally a cover like this would turn me off, but the moment I read it I couldn’t put it down and literally stayed up till three in the morning to read this one here. It was such an addicting read.

Favorite New Author?

This author has just delighted me, and the narrator she has that does her books is perfect for them. I love the humor and the summer lovin’ feels to them and I get so happy every time I pick her up now.

Newest Fictional Crush?

Keir….a big brawny Welsh hero, who has my heart. He is driven, successful, with Scottish heritage and love of whiskey, and worships the ground Merrit walks on. He is a fighter and resilient and has so much integrity his character is packed with.

Newest Favorite Character?

Payal is such a wonderful heroine, and I adore her courage and strength and tenacity to endure and thrive and she becomes so fierce in her fight of loving Canto. One of my favorite heroines of this year.

Book That Made You Cry?

The last thing I ever expected was to be brought to tears by this book, but man the ending tore me apart and anyone that has read this knows exactly why.

Book That Made You Happy?

Favorite Book to Movie Adaptation You Saw This Year?

I actually really loved this adaptation, not as good as the first book as I liked the actor in the first movie better, but I felt more depths of emotion in this one and hope they do the finale soon.

Favorite Review You’ve Written This Year?

I simply loved reviewing this book, this is one of the few Lindsey’s I have left to read, and even though my heart is still saddened by her passing, I truly had a fun time reviewing this one.

Most Beautiful Book You Bought This Year?

I love the cover of this book so much and its also in the new format which I LOVE and the moment I saw it at B&N, I picked it right up. And have it propped up on my bookshelves in pride. 🙂

Wolfsong has been on my TBR for so long. Despite so many raves from friends, it just hasn’t happened yet. I just discovered J. Daniels this year, too, and can’t wait to read more from her.

Klune’s books seem to get a lot of love. I was considering the one with the house on the cover even though it’s outside my genre lines.

This is a fun post!! I have to agree that my most anticipated book for the last part of the year is Archangel’s Light. I have the ARC on my Kindle, but I’m waiting to read it because I want to savor the story!! Probably the best book so far for me is either Wild Sign by Patricia Briggs or You Spin Me by Karen Grey.

I saw some amazing fanart of Wolfsong but I think the paperback is still too expensive for a book I’m not sure I’m going to enjoy even if I’m getting more sure about liking the books I buy. I do see a lot of Nalini Sigh books and I can’t wait to see if I enjoy the second psy book since I know you love the writing in their books. I only read the first book from Guild Hunter books and I didn’t know there was like 14 of them. That’s a long series!
