Tea and Biscuits Book Discussion: Booktubers Favorite Reads = TBR 2022

Tea and Biscuits Book Discussions is a feature here on Addicted To Romance where there is talk of books, blogging, and reading topics….so come on in and join in on the discussion

Lately, on romance book tube I have been seeing so many of my favorite booktubers be reading each other’s favorite reads and seeing how it worked for them. So I thought I would do something similar. I pretty much have my TBR planned for the rest of 2021 unless I get in one of my mood reading jams haha You never know what will happen as a mood reader right? But instead, I am going to showcase the favorite books they have read in 2021 and going to add them to my 2022 TBR, and who knows maybe I will try to fit them into 2021, it just depends on how much reading goes. But I thought that this would be something different and fun.

So here is a list of some of my favorite booktubers (now not all of them, the list would be too big–I might do a part two sometime down the road) and I have listed some of their favorites that I plan on reading and it should be interesting to see how our reading tastes truly compare in this “experiment” of sorts.

Jenn @ The Book Refuge

This book tuber is one of my favorites, I listen to her on a regular basis and the only one I pay to support. And we have similar reading tastes in historical and contemporary romance. And we both adore our alpha males and I really love that she is against cancel culture. And its her recommendations that has made me want to read these and I can’t wait to pick them up. These books I have really been wanting to pick up. I honestly just can’t give up on Kennedy Ryan. I keep hoping that one of these books will work for me.

Jessen @ Jessen Reads Romance (SWRR)

I absolutely adore Jessen so much, and I have adored seeing her growth here. These favorites I found through her video, she and her aunt Juliette share the same Goodreads so these books I know are her personal favorites.

These books that are some of her favorites, are one’s I have been neglecting. Archer’s Voice I know I KNOW, I don’t know how its possible I haven’t read that one yet. And I love Juliette Cross, so excited to see what she brings to the table with this book.

Sarah @ The Bookish Knitter

This lady is such a sweetheart, and if I need something to soothe or relax me then I watch her channel. I just love her voice and she really reads the type of books I have been meaning to read more of. And I do love her recent book club with Bree and Chloe and they have done such a good job together talking their group reads.

I have been wanting to explore more historical fiction, I absolutely have been wanting to explore it more and Chanel Cleeton is definitely an author I have been meaning to explore.

Lacey @ Lacey Book Lovers

I just adore Lacey so much here, she is truly a treasure. And we have been friends on Instagram and GR long before I even knew she had a youtube channel. As I was looking through her favorites list, I saw quite a few that I has been on my top TBR so these are my picks and hope I love them as much as she has.

I can’t tell you how many good things I have heard about this TJ Klune, so its definitely a book that I know I need to read. These reads should be an interesting mix to delve into.

Lisa @ Remarkably Lisa

Lisa is such a delight and I especially have loved seeing her growth on her channel. She mostly does historical romance of late but she does read all over the genres. And it wasn’t until recently that I connected her channel to the friendship I have had with her on Goodreads. I somehow found some historical’s I HAVENT read yet, so grabbing those up in 2022

Izzy @ Happy For Now

Izzy is a booktuber I don’t always agree with, she does support some aspect of the community I am not a big fan of, however, she does know all the latest news and scandals and she does read pretty diversely so I do get some great recommendations from her. I do respect her though for what she gives to the community and she is a top favorite booktuber for a reason.

Out of all of these books, XENI is the one I am the most excited for, I can’t tell you how often I see readers rave about this book and I haven’t read this author yet, so crossing fingers that it will be a win.

Stephanie @ Steph’s Romance Book Talk

I just love this lady so much now, I don’t really do Patreon, I have my personal issues with the company itself, or I would support her on that so I just follow her on Instagram mostly since she doesn’t really do videos on YouTube anymore. But I love that she reads all over the genre especially focuses on indie romance. And I get so many good recommendations from her.

These books I keep seeing her rave about but the one author I am most looking forward to out of these here, is Aleatha Romig. Steph especially raves about everything this author has written. I believe this is the first book in this world (if I am wrong, let me know which one I should begin with)

Samantha @ Books With Samantha

This lady is such a sweetheart and I especially have loved her segments of unpopular romance opinions and she does talk about real issues we can all relate to in the bookish community. But I don’t think I have read anything that she has recommended in her videos yet, so this is a good chance to start.

So many of these I am excited for, the first two I haven’t heard that much of to be honest, but Sierra Simone is an author I have been wanting to explore much more of.

Jessica @ Peace Love Books

Like many of you, I have been following Jessica throughout her career. While she isn’t always my favorite to listen to especially recently I really love that she reads both traditionally published and indie romance. I do respect her so much for all that she has given to the community, and she is a sweetheart.

I can’t tell you how many mixed reviews I see of Punk 57, so I am excited and SCARED to read it haha I have no clue what I am getting into other than its a bully romance and I do love this author and how she writes bully romance. Have you read this one? What are your thoughts on this one? Love it or hate it?

Bree @ In Love and Words

I love this lady so much and even though our reading tastes don’t always work together but I did wanted to try some of her top recommended reads Now I have been wanting to read Lyssa Kay Adams just because of the premise of the series and I find it intriguing so I am crossing my fingers on these books here and hope they end up to be ones that I will love.

Crystal @ Crytal’s Bookish Life

I absolutely love this gal and she is so adorable, some of our reading tastes can differ especailly when it comes to historical romances at times but we also have read a lot of the same books so ….haha and we live in the same state so something else we have in common. But she is the girl that got me to read TJ Klune, and I know how much she adores Sea of Ruin (This book is so hyped so I am nervous but so many booktubers I trust have loved it so) and the cover is beautiful, I really want it in print.

So tell me do you have a list of books that you are ready to pick up in the upcoming year of 2022? Any of these booktubers you enjoy watching as I do? If you watch different ones….which ones are you favorites? I am always on the lookout for more bookubers to support!  Let me know in the comments below!

I have not really looked at Booktube. I love that there are so many different places where book lovers can come together to share their love of books. I just can’t seem to fit them all into my daily life. It looks like you have some good recommendations to keep you busy. Happy reading!

I just tried to watch a Booktube and had to fast forward a bunch. For me it’s way too time consuming! Also, I don’t necessarily agree with the opinions so I probably wouldn’t visit the one I did again.

I loved Transcendence, Archer’s Voice, On Broken Wings, and Kulti. Hope you love every book you get to!

I followed Steph and Jessica for a bit while doing Romanceopoly and enjoyed seeing the books they recc’d. I see a few I really enjoyed and a stack that I have on my TBR or wish list. I’ll look forward to seeing what you think of the ones you get to in 21-22. 🙂

I loved so many of these books! It was especially fun to see that Wild Aces book by Cleeton, though. I just finished binging that series last week.

I just love Jessen; she’s one of my favorites. I see several of my favorite books up there! Archer’s Voice and Long Shot are two of my all-time favorite books. So much for both of those. And I really enjoyed Reel. Kennedy Ryan never disappoints.
