News
This week has been pretty uneventful, my health though is improving so YAY!!! My blood pressure actually seems to be better this week and I feel almost normal I just need to keep up on my medication. And the oral infection seems to be diminishing so that is really helping and I am finally getting sleep which is nice. I was going to go see our fall foliage here in Utah but its been raining for a few days, so will need to wait on that. As far as blogging and reading, I became hooked with these Lexi C. Foss books. I am adoring her writing so much and definitely reminds me that indie romance has so many untapped gems I need to delve more into especially since I love the PNR genre and traditional publishers are going away from publishing them as much as they used to. But especially in the fall/autumn months I do try to read more spooky type reads so this is the perfect month to be delving more into those types of reads.

Tea and Biscuits Book Discussion-Traditional Vs. Indie
Grab It Up Book Releases for the Week of 10/12/21
Currently Reading
This is the most recently released book in the series (the next one doesn’t release till 2022) and I am loving it so far. This series is so addicting.
Up Next Reading
I am not sure if I will stick with these books, my mood for reading has been strange lately so I might change it from this but these are my current plans. I am wanting to read more Margaret Moore books because I am trying to read older historical’s as recent pub historical’s just haven’t done much for me lately. So I am trying to mix it up into my reading a bit more.
New Additions at Addicted To Romance
I have really been taking advantage of my Kindle Unlimited subscription. I am loving it more and more I use it. Especially as I have been delving more into indie romance so this is definitely benefiting me much more. And some of these are from my library digital copies as well. I am taking advantage of Libby and Hoopla (and if you don’t have good selection and you read romance, PLEASE get a subscription to the Brooklyn Library, you won’t regret it)
Lusting For Covers
I actually love this cover, its just has all those spring color hues, and I love her sunglasses and the way she has them propped from her face…..it just makes me want to know this character haha
Stepback Sunday
I just love this stepback, one of my favorites. I love these types of embraces in the water, and the moonlight is such a nice touch.
Glad you’re feeling better, Renee, and yay for rain in your neck of the woods. Our fall color hasn’t arrived yet, but the temps are still warmer so that probably explains it. Glad you made a new reading discovery with an Indie PNR author. I’ve been more on a sci-fi kick lately, but I do tend to pick up more Indie authors than Traditional simply b/c there are more in SFR.
Have a great week, Renee!
I am so happy to hear that your health is improving! I hope it gets better and better! Happy Sunday!
I love spooky reads in the fall too. And glad to hear your blood pressure situation is better!
I read All These Bodies by Kendare Blake this week- not a PNR but it was kinda spooky 🙂
That’s great news on the health-front. I am glad you are feeling better. I am not familiar with Foss. I am going to have to take a look. Whee! you got That Second Chance. Gosh! I am so in love with that series. I read 3/4 (still have to read book 3), and they have all been winners. Hope you love it!
Glad you are feeling better! I also am now very excited to start Dark Tarot since you rated it so highly! Have a great week!
Glad to hear your health is improving! I’m seeing fall colors all over here in Lake Tahoe (where I’m currently on my last day of vacation) but at home it’s just starting. It’s still pretty warm out so it’ll be a while.
I also use the library and KU a lot. Great resources!
I try to read my spooky books in October too. With some holiday ones thrown in for review. Your upcoming week looks good.
So glad you are feeling better this week, Renee! That’s great news. Hope you’re able to get out and enjoy the fall colors soon. I just love that Getting Lucky series from Meghan Quinn. Books #1 and #2 were my favorites but the whole series was wonderful.
I’m glad you’re feeling better.
I am so glad that your health is improving. It is hard to get used to taking medicine (I forget way too often) but it really makes a difference. I hope that you have a great week and enjoy all of your new books.
