News
This week has breezed by so quickly, this week has been pretty busy for me at work. We are short-handed, so I am working ten-hour days and am so tired haha I haven’t been able to read quite as much as I would like, but I did get some good books read. BUT I was able to watch the new Passionflix feature of “Driven” season two. I actually really liked it and even want to do a rewatch of season one and two together. I am thinking of maybe doing a movie review for it this week. I have so many thoughts on that one there. I have been focusing on cooking more healthier. I was also able to become a part of a small book club for historical romance with Lisa from “Remarkably Lisa” (booktuber) and will be doing a live this month with her and one other romance reader. So fun getting back into the historical genre and we have been having a blast chatting books especially out love for historical romance both old and newly published.

Currently Reading
I just started this earlier this week, but working long hours so been too tired to read too much but going to relax with this book today.
Currently Listening
I know I was planning on listening to this earlier this week, but I just didn’t get around to listening to it, but just started it.
Oh wow, no wonder you’re tired, that’s a very intense work schedule you’ve got going on there! It’s amazing you’re able to get back into your historical romance passion with others, I hope you enjoy the live! Although I’m not the biggest romance reader myself I do have a strong love for Scotland so I might be up for ‘X Marks the Scot’! I hope you have a lovely weekend 🙂

Yeah I am exhausted and have tons of job hunting to do this week and working six days in a row….so another tiring week haha
Oh definitely try out Victoria Roberts, love her books.
Those are some long work days. I never work extra, unless it my lunch half hour. The book club sounds fun too!
If I had a choice, I wouldn’t want to do long days haha Yes this book club has been fun so far.
I’m so happy you are back. It looks like you’ve been very busy. Sorry, you are working such long hours. I hope you get more read in the upcoming weeks.
Thank you so much Ann!!! It feels so good to be back.
Oh how fun-a historical romance book club! That is right up your alley! Have a great week!
haha Yeah it definitely is right up my alley right? Thank you Samantha.
We’ve been busy at work too! It’s draining. I look forward to your thoughts on Last Guard. I loved that one. I’ll be picking up Heart Principal soon too. I think I canceled my Passionflix account but maybe I should renew to watch Driven. Is that based on a book series?
Yes I adored Last Guard too. Yes Driven is based on the Driven series by K. Bromberg. I can’t wait for Heart Principle.
I’d be tired too working all those hours. I hope you get some help where you work and have time for some good books.
Yes I am tired every day haha but hopefully I can fit in time for books this week.
No wonder you’re tired! I hope work calms down a bit for you soon and lets you start reading again more.

Thank you so much. I could use some relaxing this week.
Ok the cover for X Marks the Scot is delighting me. The title, the composition. chef kiss
Yowsers those are some grueling work hours, but hopefully it is temporary. Good on you for cooking healthier and getting back into your beloved historical romances. I didn’t feel like cooking very much last week because of the heat, but our garden was starting to produce so we had lots of cold fresh stuff. Love that Mary Balogh series you are listening too. The romance discussion on Booktube sounds fun.
Have a good week, Renee!
I really enjoyed Shona Husk’s trilogy, 1 hope you do too. I’m looking forward to reading The Heart Principle
I keep considering getting Passionflix but I’ve been waffling about it for ages. I’m not a TV watcher (at all) and don’t have Netflix or any of the steaming services, but there are a couple movies on Passionflix I would like to see. Especially Wicked by Jennifer Armentrout!
One day I’ll subscribe to Passionflix!
