Nora Kincaid has one goal for her second year of college: be invisible. Last year’s all-party-no-study strategy resulted in three failed classes and two criminal charges, and if she messes up again she’ll lose her scholarship. But there’s one problem with her plan for invisibility, and his name is Crosbie Lucas: infamous party king, general hellraiser…and her new roommate’s best friend.
Crosbie’s reckless reputation and well-known sexcapades aren’t part of Nora’s studious new strategy, but as she’s quickly learning, her new plan is also really boring. When Crosbie’s unexpected gestures of friendship pull her head out of her books long enough to see past his cocky veneer, she’s surprised to find a flawed and funny guy beneath it all. The muscles don’t hurt, either.
But as Nora starts to fall for Crosbie, the weight of one of last year’s bad decisions grows even heavier. Because three failing grades and two misdemeanors are nothing compared to the one big secret she’s hiding…
I have heard so many great things about this book, but I hadn’t really thought about picking it up soon until…..I heard from my dear blog friend Alyssa @ Eater of Books Book Blog, that it was on sale for 1.99 and so I grabbed it up and read it in one sitting….yeah I had a fun time with this book and it has been a while since I have picked up a NA and I am so glad that I did. I love a good romance with not too much drama and Julianna Keyes did a tremendous job with this book and building the romance. It sets off with Nora having to find a different place to live. She has spent the past year partying, and skipping classes and after almost losing her scholarship she knows she needs to listen up and be a good college girl and behave. So she moves in with a fellow student who needs a calmer atmosphere because he is in the same sitation. Soon she and Kellan become good friends. But it is his best friend Crosbie, that appeals to her. Both Crosbie and Nora start to fall for each other pretty quickly. And boy did i love the way these two come together. Its not all instant but not too drawn out either. It felt so realistic and just how you would see a college romance blossom in real life. And no love triangle. I know some may think it sounds like one but totally not at all. And Keyes handles the whole friendship with roomie and sexy romance with friend of roomie so very well. I loved the way these three get along with each other. The romance between Crosbie and Nora is sweet and charming. These two together gives the reader such an addictive feeling. A funny and sexy romance to give you laughs and giggles and keep you looking for more!! CAPTIVATING!
“How could I not see you? With all these huge muscles…” I sling a leg across his thighs and slide a hand under his jacket, over his stomach. “And this six pack…”
“It’s an eight-pack,” he mutters, eyes sliding shut.
“And this adorable messy hair…”
“Don’t ruin it with the wrong adjectives.”
“Fine, no more compliments. Just facts. I love you, Crosbie Lucas.”
“I love you too,” he replies.
And I still do not really get NA
I really must read Undecided. It’s on my wishlist!
I have to say I’m not a fan of NA. I do love the covers of this series.
I have just been craving low drama romances lately. I think I’m so stressed about other things in my life, that I can’t handle it in my books. So I’m so glad that you enjoyed this one.
This was a book I avoided at first because the original cover, paired with the title, made it seem like it was love triangle thing. However, several others have told me its a great book and not a triangle at all! Glad you enjoyed it!
Great review. Thanks for the recommendation.
YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY! I’m so glad you enjoyed this book, Renee! I personally tend to absolutely hate NA books, which is sad because I’m their prime audience. But I’d read several of the author adult books so when I saw this one last year, I had a feeling I would enjoy it. It turned out to be great – and I’m glad you think so too!!!! I’m so excited about this. 😀 😀 I’m reading Undeclared next and while I have a feeling I won’t enjoy it as much as I’d enjoyed Undecided, I think it’ll be great nonetheless. 😉
Wonderful review, Renee! Have a fantastic weekend. =)
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
Oh that sounds like a good time for sure. I don’t read NA too often but I’m thinking I’d enjoy this one 🙂
I really need to find another NA series.
This was a really good book! I loved the romance so much and how it slowly built up throughout the book. I’m so happy you liked it too! 🙂
