Elite Romance: One True Pairings

by | Dec 11, 2021 | End of Year Survey | 5 comments

Welcome to the first post of the Elite Romance series of 2021.  This post is where I am going to list my TOP reads of the year, which wasn’t easy to narrow down. I have had a decent reading year and I am thrilled to be able to share all the delicious reads that I have here.

Now I do want to make this clear that the way that I choose my favorites and the span of months because I won’t be doing this month of December. So I take the books from December 2020 all the way through to November 2021. I feel like this is the best way to feature those books so that the books in December don’t get overlooked.

I simply adored this book so much!! I swept my way through it. I know that these books are compounded with some flaws (the main one that will turn readers off is the 90’s dialogue especially in the usage of certain terminology that can be offensive. However, the characters and the romance is gorgeous and the chemistry is off the charts!!!

This BOOK is my favorite love. I can’t tell you how much I adored this book. Unfortunately, this author is forced to go indie (which breaks my heart because those Jon Paul covers were gorgeous) which is probably why not many readers knew that it was even coming out unless you follow her on Facebook. I just adored getting back to Jake and Randy –they are my favorite couple of all time though.

This BOOK was one of the most unqiue and deeply beautiful. I just loved everything about this one and Pam Godwin really won my heart with this one. I just loved the intimacy that builds in this one.

This BOOK!!! One of the most deeply written books that feature kink. BDSM is not always for me, but Maya Banks writes it so well, and her chemistry is off the charts. But this book had me up all night reading, I just adored the connection between these two here. It’s one of the best friends-to-lovers novels I have ever read.

I can’t tell you how long I have waited for this book. And if the author had decided to just keep them platonic I would have been okay with that too. But the way she wrote this one truly made this book not ONLY one of the top reads of the year but of ALL TIME!! The intimacy especially the emotional connection was everything I could have hoped for and more.

I ADORED this book and is the best book this author has ever written in my mind. It’s also one of those books that surprised me the most. I just didn’t expect to enjoy it as I did. It was perfection in every way.

I know this book has quite a few mixed reviews but I LOVED everything about this one. The romance was so sweet and beautiful. You need to have loved “Devil in Winter” to truly appreciate this book here. It just gave me everything I love from this world and worked for me so completely.

This was a long-awaited couple, they have been built up for the whole series. And quite frankly they come close to beating the first book out for me, I adored it so much and will probably due a reread of it soon .

This BOOK!!! SIGH I adored this one and one of the most unique PNR books I have ever read. I just found their story to be so beautiful.

This is one of the BEST M/M romances that I have ever read! I absolutely adored this book here. I can definitely see why this author is raved about so much and he definitely writes romance so well.

This book and really the WHOLE series is epic. It’s highly addictive, I literally read the first three books in one day!! It’s taboo, it’s engaging and the writing just will pull you in. I can’t explain why I loved it so…I just DID haha

This book y’all…if you love bully romance, and you haven’t read this one….what are you doing with your life?? haha. Now I was first introduced to this one by Jenn @The Book Refuge and I am so happy about that. Because this book had so much depth and intricate plot lines and there are things in this book that I was shocked in how I enjoyed as much as I did. It’s honestly one of the best NA books I have ever read. But this is dark, it’s taboo and does have a non-consent scene at the beginning (fair warning)  but somehow, someway it just worked so well for me.

So let me know: What books have reached your faves of the year? Anything that stood out to you the most? Let me know in the comments below!

I have not read any of these (how is that?), but so glad you found so many standouts. I stink at the OTP prompt too. I seem to love all my couples.

Wolfsong has been on my TBR for a couple years now and I have a couple friends who push so hard for me to read it. Maybe I need to make it a 2022 priority!
