As one of the few humans stranded on the ice planet, I should be happy that I have a new home. Human women are treasured here, and one alien in particular has made it clear that he wants me. It's hard to push away the sexy, flirtatious Aehako, when all I want to do is grab him by his horns and insist he take me to his furs.

But I've got a terrible secret - the aliens who abducted me are back, and thanks to the translator in my ear, they can find me. My presence here endangers everyone... but can I give up my new life and the man I want more than anything?

In Barbarian Lover we have a wonderful addition to the series. So for those of you who haven’t heard of this series yet (SHAME ON YOU hehe) Aliens kidnap women on earth, and their ship lands on a ice planet and their captors are killed and there are many women now alone on a strange new and very cold strange world. Through course of events in book one, they discover a species of people that have blue skin and horns and give the women a refuge and a home and a safe haven. In Barbarian Lover our heroine was the only one implanted with an alien device in her ear, and she knows that the aliens are coming back for their ship and the women they kidnapped. And if she doesn’t do something, they may all be in great danger. There is one problem though, there is one man that wants her, and even though she finds his carefree nature attractive, she refuses to put him in danger and doesn’t want to form any attachment. Especially since she is unable to give birth and will never resonate for him. Our hero,Aehako however, doesn’t care if Kira resonates for him or not, he sees her as the woman he wants and loves. I truly loved his character, he is so devoted to Kira and accepts who she is. He is sexy, strong and kind.

Barbarian Lover was a fun and action filled romance that kept me flipping through the pages as fast as I could. I will say that these stories are full of depth, but they are fun to read and this book was highly entertaining and I had a blast seeing more of this series with my old favorites and some new ones. These books just wrap me up like a blanket, and always leaves me with a happy sigh. I can’t wait for more of these books.

The ice planet has given me a second lease on life, so I'm thrilled to be here. Sure, there's no cheeseburgers, but I'm healthy and ready to be a productive member of the small tribe.

What I didn't anticipate? That there'd be a savage stranger waiting nearby, watching me. And when he takes me captive, the unthinkable happens... I resonate to him.

Resonance means mating, and children... but I don't know if this guy's ever been around anyone before. He's truly a barbarian in all ways, right down to clubbing me over the head and claiming me as his own.

So why is it that I crave his touch and hunger for more?

In Barbarian Mine this book was a bit different than book three and I definitely enjoyed it quite a bit. This story is connected to Barbarian Lover so you might want to read book three first or you might be a bit confused on some details in the beginning. Basically, our heroine, Harlow, in book three disappears and no one has any clue what happens to her. Well, she basically finds herself hit over the head and taken to a hidden cave with a naked barbarian male who doesn’t speak any language. It’s apparent that he has been on his own since he was a kid, alone and viewing the others as “bad”. So in the beginning, we see Harlow and Raahosh deal with each other with a huge language barrier. But we see them work through it and slowly Raahosh’s language comes back to him. He doesn’t fully understand why he clings so strongly to Harlow, and why he “resonates” for her and or even why kisses are so important. He is a true virgin, he has no clue about sex and its all up to Harlow. It definitely had a Tarzan vibe going on a bit.

What I truly liked about Barbarian Mine was seeing these two fall in lust and then eventually in love with each other. But we still have a second half of the story left and we see them a year later. Harlow is very pregnant and we see how Raahosh has to deal with his past and those he views as “Bad” because Harlow will need them if they are to survive. I really liked seeing their relationship grow and how great they were together. And we see our first “birth” too, which was a highlight of the story. Truly enjoying the way this series has developed and the voice of this author that pulls me right into her stories and this wonderful world she has created. Gimme Gimme More!!

haha yep….there are a lot of blue aliens in this series. But the covers just appeal to me. They are so unique and pretty well done for a self published author.
