In Memory of Janet Chapman

“The magic is real, people; as real as the sunrise, the ebb and flow of the tides, the haunted call of a loon, that unseen fish tugging on the end of a line, the birth of a baby, the death of a loved one. The problem, in my opinion, is that these things seem so everyday ordinary that we forget how extraordinary they are“ -Janet Chapman I was saddened once again to learn a favorite author of mine had passed away,.,,I swear this “CANCER” thing needs to leave forever because its everywhere. Janet Chapman is the author of over twenty […]

Library Loot (80)

So I had a blast exploring the library today, I went to downtown Dallas’ library, normally I have just visited their branches and the suburb libraries, but this library has eight levels, and offers quite a bit of extracurricular events and activities. I discovered some jewels, and even though it was easy finding the romances admidst the numerous fiction aisles, I highly enjoyed exploring a new place. Although I will say that the library I had in Utah spoiled me way too much. Not sure how often I will be going to this location, since I am not a fan […]

I also have the Romance Book Database released as well. I am still updating it, and eventually I will be adding more lists to it. I am very curious to see what y’all think about this. Just click on Home or the Header to see the new homepage.

I saw this tag on Quinn’s blog at Quinn’s Book Nook and I knew that I had to try this one out. Its always a good thing to look back and see what I have read and see what books impressed me the most. 1. Best book you’ve read so far in 2017. This book was AMAZING!! I just read this book and it was superbly written, and so dang good. There were many publisher delays on this book, since the first book came out in 2014 I believe. And it was so worth the long wait for this one. […]

So if you could choose any books to take with you, if you landed on a deserted island…which would they be and why? I always like to take a look at those books that mean the most to me over the years and have made the most influential impact on my life. Most of these are romance (of course) but some are other unique type of books that have also inspired me.   My Scriptures- I  am LDS, and very close to my faith and these would be a must for me. My faith has gotten me through some of […]

Oh boy….I can’t believe how long its been since I have been blogging, and it has been so hard. I love running this blog, and even though I was still working on a big project for this blog, it wasn’t the same. This month has been pretty stressful though, I knew I wouldn’t be able to concentrate on books like I wanted to and didn’t want my stress to leak through to here. But I just couldn’t stay away any longer. On a good note, my job training will begin next week and then I hopefully will be making some […]

Movie Review-Beauty and the Beast

Posted March 22, 2017 by Loverofromance in Uncategorized / 7 Comments

I was able to go and see this on Monday Night and I really really loved it!! Of course, I was a bit nervous about watching this one. Even though The Little Mermaid was my personal favorite growing up, as I have gotten older, Beauty and the Beast has become a personal favorite. And I loved the Animated version and since I wasn’t a huge huge fan of the first two retellings that Disney did, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. But you know I was delightfully surprised by this one. One of the best movies I have ever […]

I just found this cover off of Heroes and Heartbreakers and can I say how excited I am for this one and man this cover just might be my favorite and I LOVE the colors. The blue is so so gorgeous. And I have yet to read the name “St.James” without it being a fantastic book. So *crossing fingers*. Who else is stoked for this one? The notorious Gavin St. James, Earl of Thorne, has always used his seductive green eyes and slightly menacing charm to get what he wants—including too many women married to other men. But now, Gavin […]

Movie Review-Fifty Shades Darker

Posted February 14, 2017 by Loverofromance in Uncategorized / 12 Comments

I was pretty excited to get a chance to see this one over the weekend. I liked how they handled the first movie, in fact its one of those rare moments where I enjoyed the movie more than the book. *gasp* I know…I know a shocker, but that is how I feel about the books. They are enjoyable, of course I do like books 2 and 3 way more than book one. But I think what makes this series so compelling for so many is the characters and the complexities that happen. Now for this movie I splurged. In Utah […]
