Welcome back to Fairfield Orchard, where apples and romance are ripe for the picking...
Actor Tyler Fairfield is Spencer Hollow’s only home-grown celebrity. To Brianna MacDougall, he’s a friend who became a lover over the course of one wild night in New York City. They both agreed it was a mistake—so why can’t Bri forget? Maybe because Tyler makes her feel like the only person in a crowded room. Or because his kisses melt her like warm caramel over ice cream. Tyler back in town means temptation 24/7. Bri has more than enough on her plate producing a holiday play and running her family business, but this new secret fling can’t last (right?) so she intends to enjoy every minute of it...
Bri’s like no woman Tyler’s known—including Gabrielle, his former costar. Fairfield Orchard and Tyler himself are part of the plan to rehabilitate Gabrielle’s image, but scorching encounters and tender moments with Bri make Tyler wish he hadn’t signed on. He’d trust Bri with anything; she’s his heart and his home. But proving it to her may bring more drama than either of them bargained for...

Summary

Tyler and Brianna have been friends over the years, having grown up in the same small town and attended the same schools, and with Bri being a close friend to Tyler’s sister, they are comfortable and at ease with each other. Until Brianna went to New York where Tyler was living, and being drunk had a one night stand with him. But when Tyler comes home to help out with rebuilding the orchard to its former glory, and taking a break from his acting career. At first its awkward between Tyler and Brianna but the chemistry between them is powerful and they know it can only be temporary. Brianna is helping running her fathers business since he has recently been suffering from Alzheimers. At first Tyler and Brianna act upon their feelings and the chemistry that has been building between them and soon their secret fling turns into a battle of trust and love.

Plot and Story Line

A Spiced Apple Winter is a wonderful sweet and romantic winter love story that only Emma Cane is capable of. I found I fell in love with this book way more than the first book. I really liked seeing these two people stumble their way thorugh to their happy ever after which wasn’t easy. At first we see how awkward their relationship is considering the unplanned one night stand. Tyler is a famous actor, and Brianna is just a small town girl that is content with her life. What I liked seeing was the flirting and sneaking these two do in their relationship. Even though they both feel a connection, its Brianna that acts upon it first. I liked that even though she knows there are risks involved with being with Tyler, she wants to live in the moment and take a chance. It was quite fun seeing other members of the family come into play and maybe some hints for future books *grins*. I think what I loved most about this book was the building of chemistry and the charm of the setting this author describes. I felt that she balances it just right, doesn’t give out too much detail but just enough to make you want to live at Fairfield Orchard and had me craving for some spicy apple cider.

The Cover

What a gorgeous cover, I just love the scenic setting here and the way that the winter scene sets a nice tone and I love the cool white and lavender colors that are used.

Overall View

A Spiced Apple Winter is a warm and cheery romance that is an endearing love story that leaves you with a smile on your face.

Emma Cane grew up reading and soon discovered that she liked to write passionate stories of teenagers in space. Her love of “passionate stories” has never gone away, although today she concentrates on the heartwarming characters of Valentine Valley, her fictional small town in the Colorado Rockies.

I liked this book better than the first one as well. 🙂 I’m not sure if it was this couple that I liked more or that I was used to the town, the family and their orchard business compared to having to learn bout them in book one. Emma Cane is a superb writer anyway!
