You'd think being abducted by aliens would be the worst thing that could happen to me. And you'd be wrong. Because now, the aliens are having ship trouble, and they've left their cargo of human women - including me - on an ice planet.
And the only native inhabitant I've met? He's big, horned, blue, and really, really has a thing for me...
I have been wanting to pick up this series for quite some time, I love a good sci fi romance and these just fit right up my alley and I was so glad that I finally picked up book one. Now its not exactly a story that will be for everyone. But I truly had a fun escape from reality by reading this one. The story sets off with our heroine finds herself being kidnapped by aliens along with a group of other women. But when the ship has engine trouble the aliens drop their cargo down onto a ice planet. Georgie is a strong heroine. She is the leader of the group. She has confidence and I liked how she maintains control over the women to keep them from panicking over their situation. She goes out into the snow and ice, looking for food or better sheltar. She runs into a blue skinned alien who thinks that she is his mate. At first they can’t understand each other, since their languages are very different. So there is quite a bit of miscommunication that happens. And eventually Georgie implants her brain with a communication device so she can communicate with him. But they start to build a trust, and there is some powerful chemistry that builds between them. But Georgie is also worried about the other women that need help. They are left with two choices stay on the ice planet with the blue aliens who are looking for mates or risk being captured and forced into slavery. Vektal was such a entertaining hero, but even though he knows she is his mate he is patient with her. He wants to give her the choice to choose him despite how lonely he has been all of his life. He and the other men have little hope of ever finding a mate and having children. This is not a story you need to think too deeply over. Its meant to be entertainment and fun and some adventure. And that is how I took this book. I loved the romance, I liked the plot and the certain moments of danger and suspense that gets put in play here. Quite a fun and unique sci fi romance to relax with.
Ohhh if you’re a fan of Sci-Fi Romance then you must try MD Water’s Prototype series. So good!
I enjoy the aliens in need of women trope once in a while for sci-fi romances, too. Like you said, not to be taken seriously, but just for fun.
Lol that title
LOL at that cover haha.
I don’t really like sci-fi books for some reason. It’s hard for me to get into the world. You’d think being a scientist myself, I would be interested in sci-fi, but nope. Can’t even do it in movies. Glad this book was a good start to a series for you! 🙂
I am so intrigued by this genre. I have heard lots of people mention Ruby Dixon. I have never read an alien romance but I will say….I’m kind of thinking I might try one!
Yay you tried them!!!! Glad you enjoyed this! They keep getting better!!!
