In the sixth installment of Coreene Callahan’s bestselling Dragonfury series, a tormented dragon shifter finds solace in the healing powers of a woman—one who needs her own salvation.
Dragon warrior Forge has been sentenced to death by the Dragonkind elite. Recalling the memories of his family’s murders could drive him to the edge of insanity, but it’s the only way to remove the target on his back. Fiercely determined to protect his pack and his newborn son, Forge agrees to undergo harrowing treatments to help him remember the trauma buried deep inside his heart and mind. When nothing works, a woman of unprecedented power is brought in to help.
Young, bright, and haunted by her own demons, hypnotherapist Hope Cunningham helps patients recover from their darkest memories. But each time she liberates a wayward soul, Hope’s personal pain digs deeper—until one patient ignites an unforgettable passion.
Forge’s healing journey is not without risk. Unwittingly, he has put Hope in the middle of a dangerous war, one that could shatter their eternal bond. Will the curative power of love be enough to save them?
In Fury of Surrender we have the sixth and long awaited installment, this is where we are gifted with Forge’s story. I have been captivated by this character from the beginning. A Scottish dragon with an infant son? I just can’t resist and boy is he one sexy dragon in this book. Forge is struggling with the memories of the killings of his family and its driving him to the point of insanity. So the dragonfury clan decided to bring in some outside help, a healer of the mind. Hope Cunningham is a therapist, and is always looking for a way to help those with mental or emotional struggles. But Hope herself, is still struggling with some painful memories. Memories of losing her twin brother, being killed and bleeding to death. She uses a punching bag to keep the pain at bay. When she is asked to heal a friend of a friend, she is more than willing especially when she hears of his struggled. But from their first meeting, its apparent that there is much more to this pair. There is a powerful sexual chemistry that sizzles between them. While Forge and Hope work through their emotional pain and embrace their feelings for each other, a true love builds between them.
Forge desired her. She craved him. So yeah. She would take what she wanted. All the reasons it was a bad idea would have to wait. She was jumping in feetfirst. To hell with the consequences.
Fury of Surrender was a pretty wonderful story and I couldn’t put this one down. I really was swept away by these two and also by the other members of the Dragonfury Clan. Seeing all these wonderful characters was simply wonderful and some mysterious occurances happen that make me wonder what this author has in store for us in the future. I was drawn into this story mostly because of seeing the way that these two were with each other. Our heroine is simply wonderful for Forge. She has a calming influence on him, especially on his memories. I did like the way she is with the other women too. They form an instant friendship with each other, and I loved that they just include her as if she has always been a part of their tight group. I did find it interesting to see Hope and Forge come together in this one. It was a bit different than the previous books. It did have a more “rushed” feeling at times, but I think that was due to the shorter length of the story. But Callahan has a way of captivating my interest pretty quickly. I never wanted to let go of these characters, most especially Forge and Hope. They are characters that make you want to cheer them on and win in the end!! And they surely do find their own HEA. A FULLY GRATIFYING ROMANCE!

Dragon shifters, well now when I think about it, the eco system could not handle too many
But they are so pretty to look at hehe
Sounds like this one was worth the wait! I tried reading the first book in this series some years ago but couldn’t get into it. I just don’t think I was in the mood for it. I will have to give it another chance.
Oooh I need to read book one!
What a great premise! I’ve had her dragon series on my list forever.
Love the song choice. 😉
I definitely follow this author on Facebook and Twitter! I think I did back when Fury of Seduction was set to publish. That particular cover is gorgeous. 😀 So neat that he has an infant son! How was the heroine with the baby? I’m sure it was sweet to watch – hopefully? I’m glad you enjoyed this book, Renee!
Have a wonderful day. =)

I’ve never read a dragonshifter book. Actually I think the only shifter books I’ve read are the Jennifer Ashley books. Oh and Soulless. This sounds like a great read. Kind of sad, but wonderful. I am such a sucker for single fathers, too.
Oh I love dragon shifters. I hadn’t heard of this author before though.
I’m kind of curious about the baby. Who the mom was and how long ago that was before he falls in love again. Hmmm need to investigate further lol
For What It’s Worth
Hmmm Dragon Shifters you say… color me curious. I have seen the covers before and I do believe I have shelved this series on my TBR pile on Goodreads. Perhaps I should pick up the first book for my upcoming beach trip read. Thanks for the lovely review! Totally sounds like my thing.
oh this looks lovely, dragons! I love the cover, so eye catching. Glad this worked for you, can it be read as a standalone or is there back story ? I’ll have to check this series out either way
