The New York Times bestselling author of On Dublin Street and Down London Road returns with a story about letting go of the past and learning to trust in the future...
When Hannah Nichols last saw Marco D’Alessandro, five long years ago, he broke her heart. The bad boy with a hidden sweet side was the only guy Hannah ever loved—and the only man she’s ever been with. After one intense night of giving into temptation, Marco took off, leaving Scotland and Hannah behind. Shattered by the consequences of their night together, Hannah has never truly moved on.
Leaving Hannah was the biggest mistake of Marco’s life, something he has deeply regretted for years. So when fate reunites them, he refuses to let her go without a fight. Determined to make her his, Marco pursues Hannah, reminding her of all the reasons they’re meant to be together.
But just when Marco thinks they’re committed to a future together, Hannah makes a discovery that unearths the secret pain she’s been hiding from him, a secret that could tear them apart before they have a real chance to start over again...
Fall From India Place is a story that takes us to a story that connects two people and fate brings them back together again….a story of complex circumstances and a love between two people that never wavers
Fall From India Place is the fourth book in the Dublin Street Series, and I have been really enjoying this series. I know that this book there were quite a bit of mixed reviews and ratings and honestly I ignored them because I didn’t want anything to spoil this book for me and I am so glad that I did. I really enjoyed this book and even though it’s not perfect, it definitely has the makings for a romance to sit back and relax with. It does feature a second chance romance, so if it’s not your cup of tea…then “move along home” however if you are like myself, who adores a second chance romance happen, than grab this book and you won’t be disappointed.
The key players for Fall From India Place are:
- Hannah Nichols, our heroine, loves being a teacher and helping others, but she has one weakness….MARCO
- Marco D’Alessandro, our heroine, who works in construction and has many secrets
I will say that Fall From India Place may not be my favorite installment of this series, but it certainly gave me a story I wanted to bask in and characters that come alive off of these pages. Its pretty interesting to not that this isn’t a story a evokes a dry eye. What I have really admired about Samantha Young is her ability to make true human emotion become so real.
I’d felt lost for a long time after he left. It had taken a while to find my strength and independence again. It had meant hardening my heart and creatinglittle locked doors in my soul so that only the people I trusted implicitly could ever make it inside to touch it.
Here is the gist of Fall From India Place: We have a story that starts out when our characters are young. Hannah was being bullied and almost about to be raped, when Marco saves the day and protects her. What starts our as a rescue, begins a friendship between Hannah and Marco. Hannah quickly fell in love with Marco, but Marco never felt worthy of Hannah. And one night, after drinking, they have sex and Marco breaks everything off with Hannah and leaves for four years. Now he has returned, more confident and knowing that Hannah is the woman for him, but he must prove to Hannah and himself that she is the right one and worth the time and effort.
There was also some needed humor from the in laws and relatives and kiddies that lightened the mood at the right time.
I have never read this series. I’m not sure why, but for some reason I have always avoided it. Maybe I should stop avoiding it!
You avoid this series??!!! haha I really think you would love this one if you decided to try it out. 🙂 Its great on Audio format as well.
I don’t know why originally I avoided this series. I can’t seem to find a reason why I did. Good to know the audio is good-I have been digging audios lately!
Yes I have too lately, they are just wonderful especially when I am doing work on the computer or exercising.
I have meant to try the series for ages
You really should, its best on audio I think.
I love this series much! I was just thinking that I need to re-read it one of these days because I miss these characters. I felt the same way about this one as you did. Not my favorite installment, but I still liked it a lot. Sam Young is really good at writing romances that are achy and swoony!
Wonderful review! 🙂
Isn’t this series so fun? I just love this group of family and friends. The setting makes me wish I lived in the UK 🙂 And yes she writes the best swoony reads. Glad you enjoyed this one and this series too!
I haven’t tried any of her books but I think I have book 1! I really should try
oh you definitely should!! Book ONE is amazing!! Hope you love it.
this was my favorite I believe, really enjoyed the characters and the writing – but I never read book one yet so ;X who knows maybe that one would have been better
