Fans of shapeshifter romance will be thrilled to spend Christmas with the Silver Town werewolf pack...
C.J. Silver is eager to help the new she-wolves in town renovate the old hotel in time for the holidays, especially if it means spending time under the mistletoe with the alluring Laurel MacTire.
The bustle in the long abandoned hotel attracts the attention of human ghosthunters out to prove the place haunted, but the bigger problem is keeping them from discovering the werewolves in Silver Town. CJ and Laurel have to pull the wool over everyone’s eyes. Working together is a surprisingly hot holiday treat for two attractive and clever wolf shifters.

My Review

Summary

C.J. Silver, along with his two brothers have returns to Silver Town and the wolf pack their cousin Darien is Alpha of. C.J. has already met a woman that pleases both his human side and his wolf partner but he and got off to a rocky start. C.J. is eager to show her the type of wolf he is, one that doesn’t back down or gives up easily. So when an opportunity presents itself, in aiding Laurel he leaps at the chance to win her over. Laurel and her sisters have recently taken ownership of an antique hotel, with the mindset to refurbish it to its natural glory and reopen it. Laurel and her two sisters have traveled all over doing this kind of work. However, Laurel and her sisters have a reason for coming to Silver Town. Their aunt disappeared here during the holidays years ago, and they mean to find out why and if she was murdered then who killed her and bring that individual to justice. But Laurel is tempted by C.J., who has a heart of gold and seems intent on wooing her. However, Laurel feels split in two. She knows that C.J. would be a worthy mate to share her life with, but when he discovers the real reason why she came to Silver Town will he help her or drop her like a hat?

The Hero

C.J. Silver, or also known as Connor is the perfect wolf for Laurel and is such a wonderful hero. Connor and his brothers were thrown a curve ball, when their father went to prison for murder. Connor has never been the same since, but he became a stronger man and wolf because of it. Connor and his two brothers are closer than ever before. He is thrilled to be back home at Silver Town and helping with the pack and their cousins. Connor is intrigued by a new female shifter that has come to town and he wants more of her. What I really admired about his character was his zest and passion, and the determination to win over “his lady”. From the beginning, we see how loyal he is, and when he finds a good woman wants to cling to her as long as he can. I love that, A man that isn’t afraid of commitment or permanence with a woman he can see as his better half. Connor is sexy, playful, and easy going but can be tough as needed.

The Heroine

Laurel MacTire, along with her sisters are investigating the disappearance of their aunt. Laurel is the leader of the sisters, she takes control and the lead and decides how long they stay in one place. Laurel and her two sisters are as close as can be. Laurel was a character that is obstinate and stubborn and driven. She doesn’t give into pleasure or fun easily. She sees things in a way that allows her to not get distracted. Laurel, along with her sisters, have never really been part of a pack. But they know that it could be a possibility here in Silver Town. Laurel is a character that has many hidden depths. I enjoyed seeing her character come alive and become discovered as more than what you see in the beginning. We see strength, courage, and passion. She has a need to be wanted and loved but has never opened herself up to the opportunity until Connor tries to court her. Really like seeing hidden depths to a character.

Plot and Story Line

A Silver Wolf Christmas is such a wonderful Christmas romance and perfect to get ready for the holidays coming up. Terry Spear has done it again and making me fall in love with more delicious characters and yes for getting back to Silver Town. It was so nice to read some involvement of my favorite characters from the series…Darien and Lelandi, Sam, Carol and many others. So fun to reconnect with the town and the pack and another brownie point to Spear for making this a delicious Holiday romance.

What we have in this story is a tale of two people that seem a bit off in the beginning but by the end are perfect in every way. I love the development of the romance that we have in this tale. It isn’t quick or too slow…it had just the right pace and I love the smooth transitions from sections in the plot. It is quite engaging, especially when we have a murder mystery taking place as well as some other factors that really build up the plot in such a way that has you on the edge of your seat. We see a sweet romance between Connor and Laurel take place that matches quite well with other circumstances of the story. I definitely am eager to see if Spear will do more books that involve Silver Town. So fun to see these characters after their official Happy Endings, and see what their lives are like now. This story just made me love them even more, and I am tempted to re-read those books that made me fall in love with this author and series in the first place.

The Cover

I find the cover quite unique. I love the winter vest look, but with the shirt open….gorgeous muscles. Yummy. And of course, what a beautiful Christmas themed background. Perfect match for the story.
