After Midnight“Our sister is marrying a vampire.”

When the ever practical Caroline Cabot first hears those words from the lips of her fanciful youngest sister, she accuses Portia of having a wild imagination.

But when she discovers their sister Vivienne is actually being courted by Adrian Kane, the mysterious viscount rumored to be a vampire, she decides to accept his invitation to a midnight supper and do some sleuthing of her own. To both her delight and her dismay, she soon finds herself falling under Kane’s bewitching spell.

After all, what’s a proper young lady to do when her sister’s suitor arouses more than just her suspicions?

Why After Midnight?ย

This is such a wonderful story to read!! Its set in the regency era dealing with vampires. I love seeing these two elements mixed together. And Teresa Medeiros is amazing, and her writing captivates from the very beginning. This is one of those stories that you could re read even its so good!! Caro and Adrian are two characters that end up being just right for each other. Their interactions with each other is engaging and quite lively at times.

I’ve never read this author. I’m not super into paranormal romance, but I love when paranormal and historical romances mix. That’s awesome.

Dang girl!!! Never Medieros?? Boy you are missing out! She is one of my favorite historical authors to read. She does have some great historical only romances that you would enjoy. This book and the sequel are the only PNR she has done but I do like how she mixes it up with historical too. Seriously though….you HAVE to add her to your list. Especially if you like Tessa Dare and Julia Quinn.

I know, it’s crazy that I haven’t read her yet. Where should I start? So she’s more on the lighter side? I’m really looking for romances without lots of angst.

My favorite of hers is called “Yours Until Dawn” there is some angst but the hero is blind so at first he is a bit tough around the edges. But the heroine is fabulous. She is very compassionate and understand but firm and dedicated to helping him. This author is fabulous in portraying depth of the relationship and the emotions too. But she does have a fairy tale series as well, the books are a bit lighter ๐Ÿ™‚

It is….I love seeing this mix because back then in the 1800’s is when vampire legends were very mysterious and many people were intrigued since this was when the rise of literature surrounding these myths became a focus.

They are pretty fabulous right? You will love this author. She is a personal favorite when reading historical romance so you can never go wrong with one of her books. But this was the first book that I read with historical and PNR elements mixed and I fell in love with it.

I liked the second one too….this I loved a bit more (I don’t know why) maybe because it was my first book from this author and I got hooked. But I love all of the sisters, they were so fun and I enjoyed seeing their close family bond to each other.

This one sounds really good, Renee. You know I love both vampires and historicals, and on top of that, there’s a moral dilemma to deal with as well ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for sharing.

This one sounds really good, with the combination of the regency era and vampires. And I like the sound of the plot with how the vampire is courting her sister and she goes to investigate and ends up falling for him herself.
