Best Spring Reads of 2022

by | Jun 6, 2022 | Tea and Biscuits Discussions | 7 comments

The spring of 2022 has brought some great reads this year, even if my reading had some ups and down at times, but I am so thrilled as I discovered some fabulous gems! This spring was a mix of ups and downs in my reading, so I feel wonderful in that I was able to discover some fabulous books. I hope you all were able to pick up some solid reads this past spring.

This was such a fun book, with a gambling hero and a bet that brings in a fun level of bantering. I loved the vulnerabilities and the intense connection between the two characters. This book always was such a page-turner. And the chemistry was on point.

I waited a couple of years for this one here, and I loved the trope of redemption that happens in this one here. There is also such a great level of family connection, and the way these men stand up for each other is so powerful.

This was such a kick ass romance and a menage to boot. I really loved how Katee Robert grew this story and the action scenes were just right. This world has been so well written, and this book had such a solid soul to it.

If you are a mafia fan, then these books are a must read. I absolutely adored these books here but Brutal Vows was such a powerful book that left such a lasting impression. This is one of the best books I have discovered from this author.

This book was such a surprise! I kept putting it off, but I was shocked by how much I fell in love with it. It had such an atmospheric feel to it, the romance was sizzling and so many depths I never expected!

This book won me so quickly!! One of the best enemies to lovers I have read in a long time and the suspense plot was so well done, and it’s set in contemporary Scotland. I honestly couldn’t put it down.

This was a pirate HR gem! It is definitely worth the hype but don’t expect a tight HR with this one here Its much more authentic of how a pirate romance would actually be, which considering this author writes dark romance, is no surprise. But I loved how edgy and faceted the characters are.

I absolutely love unrequited love but this one was so well penned and we get a continuation of the series with the kids. I really enjoyed seeing this road trip adventure, and the way they find their way to a HEA while also saving the ppl and the country they love.

This I read with a buddy reading friend of mine and it was such a powerful story. It had such a satisfying feeling to it, well written diversity that is researched and the representation so perfect and I really loved the slow built romance.

This author will always work for me, but this trilogy was so well portrayed, there is a great mystery and a level of intensity that draws the reader right in. It’s a page-turner, with a sexy alpha male, and some edgy suspense.

So what do you think of my spring favorites? What were your top picks this spring? Any books that left an impression? Let me know in the comments below!

I loved the romance in The Simple Wild, but I must admit, it was the father daughter relationship that stole my heart.

Rosanne Bittner’s backlist is one of my future reading goals as is this newer KA Tucker series. Glad you found so many sparkly gems for your spring and hope summer turns out the same.

I seriously had to stop and think when spring was – or was it coming up… I’m getting too old and forgetful. I really enjoyed As Seen on TV by Meredith Schorr, which came out today. Super cute.
