At A Glance: Month of February 2019

by | Feb 27, 2019 | At A Glance | 0 comments

February has been a great month for me. Nothing too crazy happened this month, mostly focused on my reading. I have been on a roll for the month. I have been going about my health habits, I am loving the meal plan with the BBG program by Kayla Itsines. So many delicous meals I have tried out lately. And I starting up this month doing the hit workouts that come with the plan and really enjoying them although I had to take them slowly, since its been a while since I have done these type of workouts and don’t want to kill myself with exercise but physically I feel better than I have in a long while. I like how with this meal plan I am saving money on food which is always a plus too. Only about $50 a week which does breakfast, lunch and dinner and also snacks between the three meals.

As for reading, I am on a ROLL with my reading lately. I have read a lot more books than I thought I would get to and I have discovered so many great books, probably why my top picks are so many, I just couldn’t choose from so many good ones I read. Blogging has been great too, although I do want to be more consistent with my commenting, so I apologize if I haven’t been that good about it this past month been caught up in my books too much I think. I also have gotten back to working on my time era recommendation pages for my “Book Database” and making great progress. Almost done with all the England era’s….which has taken the most time since most of the historical’s I have read have been set in England although I have read all across the ages in that setting so many books I had to organize more. I hope to have the time era’s finished by April or May.

I will say that there has been some DNF’s this month and one big disappointment. My DNF of the month have been Royal Pain by Tracy Wolff, and Mr. Perfect by J.A. Huss. Neither of these appealed to me. I wasn’t really liking the romance or the characters in either book. Then my biggest disappointment not only for the month but for the year has been Devil’s Daughter by Lisa Kleypas. I know many won’t agree with me, but this broke my heart to be honest. I love this author so much but the romance so didn’t work for me. In comparison with all her other books, in my mind, the romance felt flat and really bland. I will always read this author and she will forever be one I will auto buy no matter what, but this story just disappointed me.

Goodreads Reading Challenge: Goal is 400 and my current status is: 81 at the end of February.
