In a sizzling new Argeneau novel from New York Times bestselling author Lynsay Sands, an impulsive rescue pairs a sexy immortal with the woman made to be his for eternity.
Abigail Forsythe’s life hasn’t been easy lately. Still, if there’s one thing guaranteed to take her mind off an empty bank account and abandoned dreams, it’s a naked man locked in a plane’s cargo hold. A very big, incredibly gorgeous naked man. And when instinct prompts her to free him, Abigail must rely on this stranger for survival…a stranger who leaves her thrumming with need every time they touch.
Tomasso Notte knows he’s found his life mate in Abigail. Now he just has to hold on to her. They’re miles from civilization, hunted by his kidnappers. Abigail has no idea of Tomasso’s abilities, or of how intensely pleasurable their unique connection can be. But he’s about to show her, beginning with one wild, hot, immortal night…

my-review-updatedSummary

Abigail Forsythe has had a rough road of late. After spending quite a long time taking care of her mother dying of cancer, Abigail must now figure out her life again and see what she needs to do to get things in order. She once wanted to work in medicine but doesn’t know which way to go in life still reeling from her mothers death. But she comes to visit her friend and when he invites her on a job with him to South America, but Abigail is thrown in the fire when she finds out that the cargo on the plane they are on, is a man imprisoned. So when she rescues him, they escape the plane they make their way across the beaches and when Abigail becomes sick and almost dies from a disease she caught, Tomosso knowing that she is his lifemate, has no choice but to turn her. Abigail now has to face a new set of adventures and circumstances and working with Tomasso to find the men that kidnapped him. But Abigail is a force of nature and doesn’t know it when she is tested in ways that could keep her from Tomasso for good.

Plot and Story Line

Immortal Nights, the latest release in the Argeneau series was delightful, funny but very silly at times. Out of all the books I have read from this author, this one was the most unrealistic of them all. I really liked the plot and the characters were fun and we do get to see more of Tomasso’s brother and his lifemate Mary and more fun times with Lucien. Oh that man, he is so hilarious especially when he is trying to be so stern and doesn’t get away with it. I love seeing him in later books and the way his lifemate and other women in his family work him. Quite entertaining. Now the actual romance between Tomasso and Abigail was lighthearted but felt a bit too fluffy for me. I wasn’t able to quite feel it like I normally do until the very end which was a bit disappointing since I was expecting quite a bit from this book. Their relationship felt a bit too rushed, most of the story line felt too rushed in my opinion. I did like the sense of danger and adventure that is added in here with a unique setting too. That was definitely the highlight of the story for me, was seeing these characters in a place this author hasn’t done before. And the villains even though they aren’t good people didn’t feel so “bad” more like just they had a “dumb” type of mentality but not the sort of villain you would be at the edge of your seat reading though. So even though I liked this book and would recommend it to fans of this series, its not a story I would necessarily put on my shelves.

The Cover

LOVE it!!! Avon did such a good job with this cover, and I love the whole sexy man in the water scene here!! I wouldn’t mind keeping him :p

Overall View

Immortal Nights although a bit silly and has too much fluff in the plot at times….was a fun and entertaining story with a bit of adventure and sensuality to curl your toes!!!

Once upon a time, after reading JR Ward’s BDB series (for the first time), I’ve searched high and low for other supernatural series in that vein. I don’t know why I didn’t come across this one, though! 24 books seem a bit daunting but I’m curious! I might just download a copy of the first book.

Yeah, going into a Lynsay Sands Argeneau novel I know there’s going to be a certain amount of silly parts and fluff so it’s expected for the most part. Sorry to hear it didn’t work out as well for you but I’m glad you got to learn more about Tomasso and got a chuckle out of Lucien! We’ll see what the next installment brings with the way things were left off here…
